Because we had literally no strikers and had / have games to play? Beyond that, he was already our player, so no transfer fee, plus he'd proved he can score at this level, plus the current 'brain team' possibly thought he'd been hard done to by Rosenior (the last point about the current brain team being my conjecture only, v's the other points being FACTS).
My mistake. Seems totally rational to say he’s got all the minerals to play in the Premier League then.
Depends. If that discussion is a way of them coming to an arrangement so that he can get his move without Wigan feeling ripped off by the fee, then that might be pretty reasonable.
He does? If he shows them consistently he’ll become one. I’ve watched him a lot more than the cameo yesterday, not basing my opinion off of that.
Not sure what I missed yesterday, Jarvis looks promising but did he completely change the game? Really? He beat a couple of players and won us a free kick in a promising situation. He also beat his man on one. maybe two other occasions and got a successful tackle in. Against that, he lost the ball at least three times, and made a complete mess of a real scoring opportunity.
I've heard Jarvis has very high levels of both calcium and potassium anybody know what other minerals you need to be a Premier League player ?
I thought TSF came on and gave a good account of himself yesterday, I’d rather he got more game time than bringing in Connolly, much as I like the lad.
I still think oscar will leave He wants to be in south america And we are trying to sign two forwards
Would anyone fancy taking a punt on Poku at Posh? Though I concede that relying on too many L1 players could be a fatal mistake. See Ipswich under Paul Hurst for details.
Depends which end of the market you shop in, we and Ipswich both shopped in markets that wouldn’t have got you out of league 1 let alone do well in the championship
I can see us getting him. Guaranteed first team football will likely play 40 plus games. Plus he was willing to come in January so the charm offensive has already being done.
He'd be a great addition but Posh will charge top dollar, Doak is even available from Liverpool on a permanent. Not a clue of the fee though. Slot is selling quite a few of their youngsters so there are potentially a few good acquisitions in there.
From a player pov Palace are taking the piss out of rak sayi Hes had pretty much no gametime for more than a year in his key development ages He needs to be playing Instead of dangling him to the highest bidder for as much loan money as possible Get him into a championship team asap
It just doesn't make sense, the slowness of recruitment this summer has made any real promotion push unlikely, so why go for a top level promotion push loan when it won't make a difference to our season? We might finish 8th instead of 14th... Let's get rid of the high earners and not constantly push FFP to the limit.
