Saw article recently that says you do have robe patient as clubs indulge in brinkmanship to try and get more money so if you don’t want to pay over the odds you have to indulge in brinkmanship yourselves We did it last year with JWP
We literally haven’t got a striker, and as much as I think Diaz will score he’s no target man! Stewart appears to be an injured hologram.
But the cost could be survival which I imagine is worth more. We start badly and recovery will be harder.
Who gives a flyer as long as they're below us. Apparently Haaaaarlaand is a raw dogger. Who'd a 'thought that.
This season is all about gaining a foothold in the PL and 16th would be a fine achievement. I do think that a lot of our own fans are underestimating us a bit and we could spring a surprise or two. We really shouldn't feel inferior to clubs like Brighton, Fulham, Brentford and the Mini-Skates and there's no reason why we can't emulate them in a couple of years. The percieved lack of quality in our squad is masking the fact that there is a great togetherness at the club and Martin and his coaching team should take great credit for that. We are definitely greater than the sum of our parts but the addition of a quality GK and a CF would greatly improve the chances of survival this season.
And that we are quite a bit inferior to Brighton at the moment. Pretty much everyone in their first 11 walks into ours.
What I meant was that football is cyclical below the elite clubs, 8 years ago we were that club that all the mid-sized clubs wanted to be.
8 years is a lifetime in football. Could we be that team again? Sure but we’d have to be making some good decisions to get to that point like we did previously and Brighton have been doing the last few years, and to me we aren’t making those decisions
