IMO Liam has done a very good job, he is still learning but at the same time guiding us by the looks of it to a top 10 finish. It remains to be seen whether we can get into the top 6, but the fact that we have a chance is better than most of us hoped for before the beginning of the season. On Vardy's 2nd goal, it was definitely Greaves getting pulled out of position, which left a huge gap for Vardy to run into, and gave Allsop little chance to make the save. Having just watched it back, I didn't realise Allsop got his fingertips to Dewsbury Hall shot that his the post, so it was an excellent save.
Similar thoughts here. It’s interesting how so few talk of finishing outside the top 6 let alone a 10th place finish.
Think we have had a better season than most of us hoped for we never knew what to expect but hoped for improvement this season, expectations were dramatically raised with the transfer window especially Jan but no one can be blamed for that considering the calibre of players we brought in but this league is unforgiving and there will probably still be a few more twists for the clubs chasing those spots.
We need the right players to achieve any level of success, and its credit to Rosie that a number of players we have now are better than I thought we would attract this season, especially the January window, so clearly somethings right.
I blamed Greaves at the time for being so far out of position, but having seen it again I think Alfie Jones gets half the blame as he left Vardy free behind him.
I get your point, but Jones alone was having to cover whether Vardy would lay off to another or take on the shot himself, which put him in two minds which to cover.
Yep, I'm pretty sure Greaves tracked his man and slater slotted in to CB with Jones meaning it was on those 2 for Vardy going right through the middle of them. I blamed Greaves live at the game but watched it a few times on ITV highlights and changed my opinion on that.
Just on this, looks like he's moved to Brentford for 20m. That Aussie Liverpool supporter was pretty bang on with his valuation.
No I just searched posts by me about carvalho as I remembered the uproar me suggesting he'd be available for 20m in the PL caused. Was very easy to find.
If you jump up to the conversation from the post I quoted, FER ARK was suggesting it was nonsense to suggest we could get Carvalho for 20m if we were to be promoted, don't think an actual value was speculated on but I guess the thought was 40-50m if 20m was seen as so ludicrous.
