I thought Cardiff did have a fair bit of possession but it was infront of us side to side and back. Didnt really threaten us much or get behind us. Seen that somewhere else last season. 1st half they targeted our right side and I thought a few times Roberts was slow to react to help Hume but got better at that discipline as the game went on.. He just didn't do enough in the final 3rd for me. Mayenda isn't by any stretch the finished article or even halfway there but he worked hard pressed the back 4 and put a shift in.1st game decent performance but as I said earlier I thought Cardiff were a really poor side today. That doesn't mean I'm taking anything away from our performance which I thought overall was pretty decent much more positive and proactive getting forward.

I think it was a pretty even game but we had a bit of magic in front of goal and they didn't. In general we contained them better too.

I hope we stick with Mayenda and give him the chance to learn on the job. He did alright today. I like Rusyn but Mayenda is bigger and faster and has bags of potential. He missed his chance to score but he was in the right place at the right time.

Hes the worst striker ive seen for us in my life time and that says alot.

Look at how he positioned his body and struck the ball when he missed that sitter. Thats non league level, and theres no way he should be in this league

Nothing negative from me today. Didn't play to our full potential and won 2-0 fairly comfortably. We gave Cardiff their chances from poor passing.

Cirkin is like a new signing. Missed him so much. Thought Browne was also fantastic. Will be a great signing. Defence played well. Patterson comfortable apart from his long passing.

So much more to come. Could write more but too tires.

Thought Alese did well at centre back, couple of dodgy moments, but played well and did a good job along with all the back 4.

Very impressed with the team pressing high then dropping off into a solid formation that Cardiff struggled to get through.
