Before we went ahead, and for a short time after the goal, we pressed and looked on top, but afraid their quality shone through and our defence was broken down far too easily. We move on. Cambridge play Stockport later on today, so I'll update after their match, but the big question is, and always seems to be with the league cup, do we want to field a strong side and hope for a cup run, or give the reserves and kids a chance to experience first team football. Discuss below. Enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!
If we get the new signings that are rumoured to be coming in, get them straight out on the pitch...we don't do cup runs, so what's the worse that can happen?
If I was Marti which sadly I’m not although I am taller and wear jeans that fit me I’d play my first XI. Players today looked like they need games. Would be nice for Celar to get off the mark, to keep a first clean sheet, get that feeling of a win. Cambridge 2-0 QPR. Field out for the season.
QPR 1 - Cambridge 0 The season is one day old, some positivity is needed, although……… Disappointed ‘How To Get There’ segment didn’t list Gold Coast, Australia, on the off chance l may try to make it over, ha! Ok, sorry.
Are we taking the same approach as last season to fitness? Starting the season not fully up to speed felt like madness but it worked. I'd definitely play our strongest team.
100% agree. Those players looked lethargic yesterday, and not sharp at all. Competitive game time needed.
