I did today. He was very prominent. Anyway. I did my best to answer each one of your statement / questions
There was definitely a lot of Dodds talking to Le Bris. At least 3 occasions it went to them. At one point Dodds was drawing something in a notebook and Le Bris was watching. Im not as convinced it’s a bad thing as others are. But he definitely played a major role. (In a win btw)
Yes, I appreciate the answers. As I've said I barely noticed Dodds but, as I do when we win, will watch the whole game again and look.
Just a thought (don’t jump me), whilst I appreciate the honesty I’m a bit concerned about RLB saying he wasn’t planning for us to lack possession and control. It’s understandable as it’s his first game, and we won, and defended well, but he’s essentially admitted it didn’t go to plan. So I hope they work on why it didn’t go to plan. Not moaning or a complaint at all as it was terrific result. Just observing and hoping for improved performances
it only went to le bris 3 or 4 times all match and pretty much all of them had Dodds next to him talking to him. which btw isn’t a problem seeing Dodds is still his assistant head coach. So it’s not really a surprise. In fact I’d be disappointed if Dodds was sitting their quietly
My guess is they will. TBF I doubt Cardiff think things went to plan ... ... I didn't notice Dodds but I wasn't looking in all honesty, I'll check tomorrow but I'm sure you're right.
I don't know if it's actually the case but it feels like we never start the season with a fairly comfortable routine win. We definitely never score from a polished free kick routine. Nowhere near hitting our peak but lots of good signs and pretty much all our players hitting the ground running.
In a way it’s good that Onion and Jack scored, a defender and someone who may be away. Imagine if Mayender and Rusyn had scored. While it would have been great for them it may have caused Speakman to be less concerned about bringing in a striker and thinking that we have the lads here already.
I doubt it tbh mate. I'd say he's absolutely desperate to bring in the right striker ... ... ideally a signing and a loan.
Nothing more than I've just said ... ... no names, no clubs, nothing, I don't bother asking any more.
We are so close to competing. Get a good striker, one who can occupy defenders, hold the ball up and score a few goals and we have a real chance. Next 3 weeks massive
I too like his honesty, the other thing he has stressed multiple times is equipping the players to find solutions themselves when things aren’t going to plan.
Actually, to be sincerely honest in my humble opinion, without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, and without lies to the actual truth, with my clear open mind and clean heart, expressing what ever is embedded inside me for a long time which I didn't say because I was nervous. But today by gathering all the courage and motivation, I just want to say that I actually feel and think that I have absolutely nothing to say. Thank you!
