What does it say about players signing for them, knowing they have this much competition for their place.

It's largely down to agents - who are a blight on the game.
Of course players' eyes light up at the thought of riches, but if they're sensible - or being advised properly - they will also have one eye on their playing career. Agents have no such constrictions - they have no investment in the game other than making as much money as possible out of it.

These agents are showing only an interest in the Quick killing and probably getting paid a fee by Chelsea on the side somewhere

If you've a player with 10/15 years in them and are happy for them to potentially be worthless by the ejd of this extremely long stupid contact Chelsea give then you've no interest in the follow up sale unless you think Chelsea will fore sale the lot of them.

Chelsea are actually buying players, then buying their replacement in the same window and have done so several times now.

3 and 4 keepers with zero chance of playing. 6 defensive midfielders. Stacks of attacking midfielders out of Brazil.

None have any real hope of a game

These players must have parents. Why would you let your son waste his career like that?

They are only allowed loan out 6 players over 21. All these 19 and 20 years old in 12 months time become a huge issue for them.

They already are because most are too inexperienced to be relied on in their first team and it really shows.

Every academy player is up for sale.

You can only field a 25 man squad over thr age of 21.

This tactic looks great but unless it hits then those loons for the cash to buy them all has to be repaid sometime.

It was bad before, it was really dodgy and cheaty under abramovich but imo this is worse for football and should be severely punished when it all tumbles in on itself.

I'd be all for a hard registration cap now and a removal of the u21 exemptions unless club trained for 3 years.

It'd destroy our strategy but it looks to me thsts out the window anyway

Winston bogarde did OK out of that kind of deal.

Thry do have to pay tax on these earnings but it is a nice sum but I expect the lot of them will piss it up against a wall as well and really will regret it by the end of their careers (shortened careers)

I do wonder what % in 5 years will be even remembered. They certainly won't be by Chelsea fans who are addicted to the next signing now.

It's the parents of the u16 and below that should be worried.

None of their academy youngsters are going to make the first team and if they do get close, as soon as they're a saleable asset they'll be sold off probably without any chance to prove themselves

In fact most will probably get released cause there is no room for them.

I'd be trying very hard to not sign any forms with chelsea Fulham, Brentford and qpr are all close enough if that's your area to move over to and try make some career start for your kid.

If you.happen to be travelling across the Thames to them then palace or afc Wimbledon are not horrendously far away.

Surely you'd not want to know about this ownership when it comes to your kids one.chamce at a career.

It's not wasting your life, but it is wasting your talents. I'm sure some realise that and some can't see past the cash.
If I'd been good at footie as a sprog I'd have wanted to play football. If I was young now I'd be happy to be earning £20 - 30kpw at a middling club in order to have a playing career, and be looking to work myself up to the best level I could be.
If you're really good enough you'll make it onto that higher wage bracket anyway before long.
Better than watching your best playing years pass you by.
Of course I realise many young kids don't see that, which is why I say they need good career advice rather than that offered by agents only interested in a fast buck.

The average prem wage is well over 40k a week.

However a lot of these players wouldn't get near the average prem wage bar chelsea looking at them as.most are not really ready and not being offered these deals.

That seem to be falling over themselves to sign up.

That's the madness. Not one of these are players being fought for by other clubs. not one is someone real.have been beaten to out of Brazil etc.

It's like as if someone has a software and no interest in looking at anything but stats and keeps but piling tje bodies high like as if it were baseball and they can send these out to other clubs (that chelsea don't own)

There has to be a very rude awakening at some point.

Year on year chelsea make a big actual financial loss thats just offset for ffp by transferring assets out of the club or selling any academy player.

That's a very poor standard for what constitutes a successful career. I'd be embarrassed to have that attitude.

    Just ask yourself.

If your name was dewsbury hall, you were in a mad 75k a week before eleciester got relegated, you.got 45k a week in the championship and they bounce back up so you were on 75k.

You.tell.leicrster to go stuff themsevles and go the chelsea for 100k a week for the next 6 years.

He will be able to.retire at 31 at the end of that but has about 8 rivals for a spot to play.

Chukwuemeka is also on 100k a week he is ony 20 and his deal runs to 2027.

    These are millstone type players.

If they are playing for chelsea they are either massively out performaning their level or the real stars have failed.

Cheslea first 11 should have caicedo, fernandez, nkunku, Palmer sterling and some striker or other in front of their random back 4 and keeper.
