Won’t be a popular opinion but I liked Connelly and whenever he had a run in the team, he contributed. Something clearly happened last season cause he hardly got a luck in after a certain point, weather it was the Norwich collision or his head wasn’t in it but I’m not privy to any of his off-field antics either. If his wages were reasonable I’d take him all day long from a purely footballing point of view, but again, not sure what he gets up to off the pitch
Almost certainly hes just fully moving out of his place in the area and invited as a guest for the game But id take him back
Brave as a Lion Connelly. Unfortunately he comes with baggage some take offence too. Was reminiscing last week in Hospital with a very well known elderly City fan. We had a laugh about some of our best strikers from begone years. Some either smoked,..enjoyed a good drink or three and in one case thought nothing of offering everyone out of his local pub or crashing a car and doing a runner…allegedly. Legends the lot of em btw.
His goal per minute ratio is better than Oscar's, his all round game is substantially better too and he's cheaper. His head is clearly the issue, so it's whether he's worth the risk.
8 goals and 10 assists from out wide last year. Though you'd think Norwich would be keen to keep him if Rowe is off
1 year left on his deal, natural right winger. Good age, good season last year. Bring him in. Millar/Jarvis fighting for the left wing position. Kamara/Longman/New winger for the right wing position. Lovely
There's definitely a player in Connolly, if we're in the market for a punt he'd be a better bet than Billy Sharp was.
Watching Reading v Brum. Selles is a top coach, they look very good. Wonder what they’d value Ehibhatiomhan. He’s a unit, quick and both footed. Scored a good goal and had another great finish ruled out
He was laughably ****e against us. But that doesn’t mean I think he’s poor, it was just a friendly, just reminded me that he kept falling over and tripping over the ball!
He’s only 21 I’m actually quite stunned at that. He’d certainly be a development signing but he seems to have a lot of tools to be a top player
