Quote: Form guide wise (based on the end of last season of course), our visitors endured a pretty torrid end to the season, picking up just 1 win in their last 6 (though we only picked up 2!) as the goals dried up (scoring just once in those 6 games), though to be fair they also remained tighter than Doris when she sees Masky eyeing her up in the pub at midnight, conceding just 4 times compared to our own horrendous 16! Suppose you think that’s funny pal? Jumping on the bandwagon eh, no prize for literature from Masky.....cheap shot, not having it! Masky Of Llandaff
Masky my friend, you know it's just jealousy on my part that the ladies can't look beyond you and our other lothario Clingo on these boards....
Great choice BT, you’re a wise man pal, a tad overweight, but nice! Small Faces were an excellent band, survived by Kenny Jones sadly. One of my many musical friends played for a good local band The Chico’s back in the sixties and were well known. They received a call up to play The Top Rank in Cardiff (last minute) as The Turtles failed to turn up and went on before The Small Faces who borrowed some of Chico’s equipment! True story, I live in awe! Masky Of Llandaff
Lothario: a man who behaves selfishly and irresponsibly in his sexual relationships with women: Concur, Clingy dirty boy! Masky Of Llandaff
BT pal, no offence about weight jibe.... If you’re with BFB at this minute, can you kiss him and say Masky said so please? Masky Of Llandaff
Cardiff City XI: Horvath; Ng, Chambers, Goutas, O'Dowda; Siopis, Ralls; Tanner, Ramsey, Willock; Robinson. Subs: Alnwick, ***an-Walcott, Bagan, Rinomhota, Turnbull, Robertson, Colwill, Meite, Kanga. Pretty much as expected. Plenty attacking options to come off the bench. No McGuiness. ***an-Walcott covering CB, though Bagan also played there in pre-season.
Never mind. 45 games to go. Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Same old old. Bulut hasn’t changed his negative tactics. Pedestrian play across the back. Ralls taking too long on the ball. Siopis giving away possession. Total lack of pace and penetration. Robinson as lazy as ever. Spurning the few decent chances they get. The ref was appalling as was the ginger lino but that’s no excuse for yet another goalless pitifully poor home start to the season. Difficult to see where a point let alone a goal is coming from this month. Only glimmer of hope is the new players change the negative and slow style of play.
It was abysmal. Easy to say 1 game but it was an extension of last season. Slow tedious non threatening garbage football. Bulutball is back. We were 3rd favs for the drop and easy to see why. It's going to be a long hard season.
Hi all, Sorry for your defeat today. At the start I thought you were set up well and well drilled, but relied on trying to get a foul in and around the box to gain an advantage. After the goal nothing changed, even after you were gifted possession you didn't capitalised. The officials were bad for both sides, but, with rose tinted glasses you sometimes only see the bad decisions against you. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
I don't have any issue with the officials. Good luck for the season I'm sure you won't have an easier day out than this.
I honestly think you have a decent side, I think the tactics were wrong, you pressed high without really threatening, when you did get chances there was no confidence or composure. We're still settling into new tactics and a new system. Is early doors, anything can happen. Leeds, Norwich, Hull and Coventry all predicted to win.
If you read my opening remarks of my post then you’ll gather that is my thinking also. Unless Bulut has a major re-think we will always struggle especially at home playing this dull sluggish passing back and fore along the back allowing the opposition all the time in the world to repel our attacks, they’ll also be able to counter at pace against our ponderous defence. A real issue is the transition which today was as all last season pedestrian. Ralls the main culprit.
Abysmal performance from front to back. Up top Robbo looks the part but flatters to deceive, in the middle of the park Rambo despite his obvious skills, looks pedestrian to me, and at the back we have no idea how to effectively distribute. Willock and O'Dowda could eventually prove to be match winners, but on the other side of the park Meite should have started instead of Tanner. Nothing against Tanner other than right now he looks out of his depth at this level and turning back on his left foot, played Ng into trouble more than once. Should be no excuses this season - this is essentially Bulut's squad and he needs to deliver. I saw no evidence today that he's changed tactically from last season's pedestrian approach. Not going to get hung up on the first game result. Far too early to make finite judgements on the basis of one game, but on the evidence of that today, It's going to be a very long, long season.
