For a working class dad, with three kids, it's outrageous ...

... £180 for infants or junior Sheff Wed shirts.

    It's disgusting.

I’ve got an Inter Miami top I wear for walking the dog and dossing about.

Purely, as you say, down the the club being marketed that way

Yeah it would, the issue is that leagues all start at different times

Aye strange timing to put that out.

It’s a funny one though, was thinking about this other day.

People screaming ‘them bastards’ when the club shop was broken into but a lad I know who had stuff to say on this bought his SAFC tops from Hacoo. I mean both are robbing the club essentially.

In Germany it’s a €1000 fine if you caught wearing a snide I’m surprised that hasn’t been brought in here.

Smart clubs move away from ‘pay per shirt’ deals to get round this. I certainly don’t think the club itself should be policing fans in the stadium though.

I’m not on a high horse on this mind I’ve bought a bunch of snide footy tops, random ones not SAFC, from China. Sunderland gear I buy from the club that and the season ticket is my ‘contribution’. Plus an ungodly amount of pints and snacks…

A former sponsor of Charlton Athletic, Darren, who has cut ties becasue of a tweet agreeing with 1 thing Tommy Robison said, but disagreeed with the majority of his views.

    Statement from Darren :

During a Tuesday phone call with Charlie Methven and Jason Morgan we discussed a retweet I shared about Tommy Robinson. I immediately clarified that I am not aligned with all of his views, although I agree with some. My life is diverse and I don’t believe in limiting my associations to those who look and think like me. They both agreed vehemently that there was no racism or bigotry in the shared post that was divisive or in breach of my contract. It’s troubling that people are often judged or cancelled for holding differing views instead of engaging in open dialogue in society.

I have consiststood up against racism, even physically intervening where necessary. I don’t see colour, race, religion or sexual orientation, just good or bad people. My parents taught me to judge people by their character not superficial traits.

This situation could have been resolved through an open and honest discussion allowing differing views to co exist respectfully. Unfortunately that meeting never happened and now I am questioning how this even became an issue. My legal team are looking into it but I am still baffled that a fan with no significant social media footprint who hasn’t done anything wrong could be at the centre of such a media article.

Whats Charlie got to do with it?

Seen a lot of people whinging on social media about fans buying replica kits of their own club.

Personally I don’t wear football tops, I bought the yellow Hummel one when it was released but that’s about it.. anyway missus decided a few days before the euros she wanted to get the bairns an England kit. £110 for the pair. They’re 4 and 2 year old. I nearly fell off my ****ing chair when she told me. If club kits are anything close to that then I’m not surprised people are buying them from China, people have been on the bones of their arse for years and supporting your football club isn’t cheap anymore. The club only get about 10% of sales too iirc so it’s hardly hurting them financially.

Buy from the club to support the club is my motto. Anything else isn't.

Price of England shirts is an absolute scandal mind.

Twice the cost of a Sunderland top.

To be fair I’ve just remembered my missus also went and bought them the Sunderland kits, on derby day last year of all days. Dropped me off in the town then rang me 20 minutes later saying she was trying to drive into the club shop and there was mags all over, some of them shouting at her in the car with two little girls in the back :emoticon-0102-bigsm no idea how much those were but the kids tops are £50 on the website not everyone will be able to pay that and I’m sure they’d rather just get one for a tenner than tell the bairn they can’t have one!

    Leeds 3 - 3 Portsmouth

The championship is quality man. So competitive and tough to predict (awful for us gamblers).

If United can’t beat that team Pep has put out that’s shambolic.

Man U are the value but there’s still some class players starting for City like…

    Ederson. Akanji. Dias. Gvardiol. Haaland.

Shame, but it’s a long old season. Hopefully starts on Tuesday in the cup against Doncaster.
