Talking generally. Not on individual performances. They can all have good games but play them all together and you'll struggle.

prob a fair bit, but its probably the one position, you can make mistakes on
but just running at defenders and being out wide, causes problems directly and indirectly
    hope he keeps it up

Yeah as you say, he needs to keep it up. Can easily shrink back a bit after a game or two and not take the game on. Jacob on debut scored against Brum with a bit of adrenaline pumping through him, it's maintaining that that's the challenge.

Happy with a draw, we looked better when Jarvis and Millar came on, and Sellars-Fleming had a big part to play. Even tough I thought Jacobs had an okay first half, it was his mistake that brought their goal. I can't understand why TW didn't take him off and put Giles at LB.

Nevertheless, Pandur had a good game, really please for him and my MOTM.

Why all the hate for Jacob? I thought overall he had a really positive game. Yes there was the mistake for their goal but otherwise he was behind a lot of our positivity.

not once in preseason did we try giles at left back, so if we can cash in on him itd be for the best

Agree, he was moving and offering an option when we were stuck for an option which was good to see.

It was a Sunday league standard error
And he gave the ball away constantly
    Out of his depth

Don’t agree. He’s a young player with a lot of potential which will probably be killed off by the usual Hull City fans’ scapegoating.

This....by the last 20 mins, his confidence was that shot I cannot recall him passing to anyone but Pandur, and the air shot for the goal was terrible

Giles looked furious when he came off. Surprised he didn’t bring off Jacob and shift Giles there.

Lot of the same problems as last season, passing too slow and not brave enough. Our CM got slagged for not helping out, but they were available plenty of times for a pass but defenders not brave/confident enough to make the pass. Oscar doesn't look remotely good enough for any side with promotion ambitions, Jacob also, and it's hard to see Slater doing much more than bench warming as new players come in. However, on the plus side Millar looks a bit tasty, and Jarvis might have a role as a possible game changing sub although I can't see him as a starter in a Walterball high energy high pressing side. Once we have another wide player then Omur and Mehlem can settle into the 8 roles with Zambrano (hopefully) instead of Simons. Add a new CF and we could be motoring. Perhaps:
    Pandur/Racioppi
    Drameh Hughes Burns Coyle/New LB
    Zambrano
    Omur Mehlem
New RW / New CF / Millar

    That would do a job.

What a difference 2 natural wingers makes. Jarvis was direct and caused them all sorts of problems, Millar looks rusty but still caused problems.

Simons, Jones, Coyle and PANDUR excellent.

Jacob is too erratic for the style but he did well over the whole game.

    Omur quiet but still effective.

    Mehlem was very bright too.

We deserved a result and it’s only upwards from here.

On the other hand, adopting a typical not606 attitude, we are only 1 point off relegationl

The thing with Jacob is that he and he and Macca have been culpable for about 60 % if not more of the goals and chances created against us pre season. ... if you cant learn, then you cant improve, if you cant improve you cant do it at the expense of the team..
