Got away with it, how the fk Jacob stayed on I have no idea, but I suspect both him and Mclaughlin will have limited appearances for us this season. Its early days, so I'm prepared to give it time, and happy with a point today but there's a lot of work needed here, Hughes is a must, striker yup, that as well, penalty aside Oscar wasn't great. Pandur looked better today and no chance with the goal, and Millar looks the part. See who else we bring in, hopefully to give some more technical ability to us.
Aye and someone else might have been useful upfront today, offered an outlet and not missed a really good chance earlier in the game.
We were the better team when the subs came on for me. Truly shocking at times beforehand. Players like Macca, Jones, Jacob, Slater and Simons will do you a job surrounded by good players but you can't carry all of them. We won't see that starting line up again. Trust the process. It's gonna be an interesting ride.
Thought of that lot Jones and Slater were pretty good, Simons had his moments. Jacob and McLoughlin didn't offer much.
We absolutely deserved a point out of that. Starting from where we were after the pre-seasons I thought we didn't do too badly but our main weakness was quite clearly down the left. Afraid Jacobs has to go, probably McL too. On the plus side Millar looked handy and Jarvis was lively. We're up and running, UTT!
same bad decision making for that shot, shoulda whipped it across but looked positive pacey wanting to get forward and it allowed omur and mehlem, while stretching the play with millar on the other side# sometimes you just need a player to run at defenders on and off the ball causes carnage
Hard to say how much was a bit of adrenaline in his first start but promising signs. Might help answer a question.
It's a shame really, we do need to figure out a starting LB that's a higher quality but Jacobs wasn't that bad and won't deserve the flak he will take for it. He made mistakes but we all knew the left would be targeted, Coyle made plenty of mistakes too.
