Football day. The Sky gods have decided all the ****ing games this week and half most weeks have to take place at 12:30 just in case someone out there wants to watch QPR v West Brom instead of whoever is the main game (Leeds probably, it’s always Leeds).
He’ll go but it would have to be quite a desperate Prem team late in the window. More likely he goes to a Leeds/Burnleh/Sheff U type.
It’s the new ‘Sky Sports +’ ‘service’. Every game for certain weeks is on when there’s no Prem football so it’s all of ours at 12:30, all L2 at 3 but they’re allowed to televise it and all of L1 at 5:30. Going to be absolutely **** for the atmosphere and away games. Like we’ve got Blackburn away at 12:30 which I’d have gone to if we started the season fairly well but it’s a good 4-5 hours on the train so probably the first train of the day up to London and relying on our rail service to not **** up an 8am from London to Preston. Our first 3pm home game is late October.
****ing ridiculous that. Will surely drop attendances somewhat especially if more on TV? Just had a look at fixtures and Sunderland at Cardiff and Swansea at Boro stand out as absolute piss takes for early KO's.
Leeds v Pompey. 2000+ Pompey fans on the beers from 6am. Should be a nice quiet one for the overworked local police service.
Around early 2000's, 4 of them pulled up next to me, when I got out the car, 1 came over and took a swing, missed completely, 2 more there ready to pounce if he he'd connected and I went down, you know the brave sort, the 1 telling them to leave it, as ' he knows where our car is' at that 2 of ours came over to offer assistance, they then decided it eas time to fook off. They should have listened to the one, as indeed I did know their car, often wonder what time they got home.
They know Sunderland will sell out at Cardiff ... and more chance of greater numbers of Swans at Boro today than at any other time in the season- unless they start doing really, really, well ... ... but yes - they are taking the piss ...
Add to this that there is no football on tomorrow, so why is the charity shield being played today, they could have still played it at 3pm...but tomorrow, twats.
I assume the clubs/fans would’ve kicked off about trains home because nothing works in this country. Think they moved a semi-final between them once for the same reason. But they’ve probably filled the train and ****ed the journey for West Brom fans so all good. Obviously don’t have a friendly between two Manc clubs in London. No one cares- play it at Wigan or something.
Off to watch 2 football games today first is a 20 drive and the 2nd we can walk to in 20 minutes, not like you plastics going to watch the big clubs. Glory hunters.
Just turned on the Leeds v Pompey game, mainly to test out this new viewing system works and it does. Able to chose any Championship game to watch.
