Hard to tell after 1 game tho Most be great having strikers score early for you tho, takes massive pressure off them early doors
Most impressed by Gueye who happens to be the one that didn't score. I understand it's just one game but it's one good performance more than I seen out of our forwards last season.
It is. I had seen Gueye play before and thought he was alright, never really seen him use his pace like he did tonight. Link up play a lot better than I recall as well.
He looked good 1st half tonight but thought 2nd half he totally disappeared - be interesting to see which 1 is his usual You can see why theyve signed him tho
Beyond a joke now like, every no mark championship team can find a striker to bag a few yet we can't.
Have to agree. Constantly see ‘trust the process’ etc but sick of it all to be honest. Am I happy with our other additions? Absolutely. It’s been what, 3 years now? There is no excuse, it is nothing but unacceptable and those thinking otherwise are just kidding themselves in my mind.
Noone is kidding themselves at all, think every person has said we need a striker, some are just willing to wait until the window is actually closed before making a comment about how this window has actually gone
I see Inter Miami won again in the cup this time, playing most of the game with 10 men, but boy do they give away stupid fouls. Next up, Cincinatti second in the league. What a turn around from last season, bottom of the league and one point to now being top, Alba, Busquets, Messi and Suerez all helping the cause, albeit Messi with sporadic performances. A master stroke by Beckham, I have seen lots of fans wearing their shirts and he's making them an international household name.
100%, we all would n theres no doubt the later they sign one the more pressure some will put on that player hitting the ground running Id always want our key players in before the 1st game then a couple of good squad fillers towards the end of the window
FFS, what a dismal statement to put out on the eve of a new season "Although we cannot prevent supporters from wearing counterfeit shirts away from Hillsborough, we do respectfully request that such products are not displayed inside the stadium. Anyone found to be wearing a fake shirt inside Hillsborough could be asked to leave, with information passed on to the relevant parties." https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2024/august/09/swfc-brand-protection-/ please log in to view this image
Who’s getting up that close and personal to try and work out if it’s a £15 shirt or a £60 one man the stewards put up with enough **** as it is
I think there's a really strong argument for closing the window before the first match. It would need to apply to everyone,I know, but it would be so much better.
