Raylor should be dropped then. Krul Simpson Taylor Colo Santon Obertan Cabaye Guthrie* Sammy HBA Ba *Guthrie if Tiote is unfit. Can see a 1-1 draw, which would please me.
Why? He had one off day against Man City other than that he has been fantastic all season. Our back 5 have been ever present all season and that is the main reason why we are as high as we are. Now is not the time for experimenting with a new back 5. After all our current back 5 are the best in the league! This criticism of Raylor over the past couple of weeks is harsh and unfair to the lad who hasn't put a foot wrong bar those 2 incidents at Man City.
Blackburn - His mistake cost us a goal QPR - **** Wolves - **** Man City - 2 huge errors and torn apart continuously Man United - Torn about 6-7 times I get the impression people forget this, because of the few goals he's scored. He also will not have Jonas helping him out hugely. Santon is also an actual defender who has great pace and ability.
Got my money on exactly the same as Man United but with Sammy instead of Jonas. Pardew likes to switch it up as little as possible if the team's performing well. EDIT: What's happening with Ferguson, is he getting games for the reserves? He could have been in line for a start on Saturday.
Sammy in front of Raylor and I'll have a heart attack. Raylor's in poor form, and has at no point been "fantastic" this season, that's a load of balls. Santon LB and Raylor in front of him, less defensive duties and a more comfortable position, as well as Santon finally playing.
People would seriously change to a 4-3-3? You need to have much better full backs than we have to play a 3 man midfield.
Not saying they didn't deserve it but Liverpool got the small breaks that make a difference in such a tight game. We had a pretty stone wall penalty shout turned down in about the 5th minute. Get that and score and the whole game changes. Then just before their first goal we hit the bar and had one off the line. Anelka also missed a great chance to bring it back to 2-1 with 15 mins to go. Liverpool will say they cruised it but that wasn't the reality much like the league game. We were pretty average and very poor up top but as I say, we didn't get the breaks. We are badly due some fortune and maybe it'll be this weekend.
Agreed. I really don't think we are good enough at the moment that you have to change your winning formula just to match us. We will be just as worried about you!!!

Joint best http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/premier-league/best-defence.html I do agree with the point though. Clearly the fact your defense is so good is because the unit of regulars are complimenting each other perfectly - mixing it up could disrupt it. Especially against Chelsea, although their playing terribly at present, everyone knows what they can be capable of.
Completely the opposite to what your manager said in his interview! Anyone that saw the game could clearly see we were the superior team, we had a bite about us and you were slow. Id say both recent games followed the same pattern. You probably deserved the penalty to be fair, maybe us missing ours made it square!
Aye I guessed as much...Luck has certainly favored us in some games (Wolves/Everton), in others (Manure) we created our own with a ridiculously hardworking display, but against Citeh and Blackburn in the cup, nothing went right for us, so I don't feel too smug... I think the major battles will be in midfield, with your CDM needing to step up big time. We're weakest down the wings and with players like Mata and Sturridge playing out wide I do worry we'll be picked apart at times, but if we can defend half as well as we did against Manure it'll be a very, very tight game! Plus, Ba is one of the most consistent strikers in the League at the minute and Terry and Luiz have been far from solid at times. Really looking forward to it. If any of you are going, (as I've already said) the atmosphere will be immense!
