Reminiscent of Blockbuster tbf ... used to be a name everyone knew ... now just an obscure reference fading more and more with time...
We all have clubs of different ability around us yet we all decide to go for the big club whether that's in your area or further afield. Those local clubs would love more people through the gates. Just different levels of plastics trying to justify their glory hunting.
Mate ... trophies are hardly a subject matter for you to worry about ... your tin of brasso has well and truly solidified ...
You bought someone yesterday, big signing. Can't remember his name but he's from Athletico Sheffield so must be good.
Gutted at that, really wanted him at Spurs, we'd been loosely linked all window. Felt him and Son would be a great wide duo.
Serious chat. I definitely remember some of your support saying that this is the summer where money will be freed up and available to go large. Maybe you’ll make a late burst. It does happen.
What we are trying to do in our negotiations with clubs is come up with payment plans so they don't hand over the full amount, we do it for all our signings now. That's why it takes so ****ing long for us, obviously the selling club, ie in this case Palace want the money up front, as they should. So we spend actual weeks at a time coming to and from with different down payments and different years to pay the rest off. They probably call it some bullshit business term but it is just a payment plan cos we don't want to spend our real money. If we have PSR issues, we shouldn't be trying to sign one of the most expensive CBs in the premier league.
