Good news is, it only took us around a week to increase our bid. These negotiations won't take too long to positively conclude when we're showing such alacrity.

Don't offer the money people want and they won't hand over the players. in approx 20 years our owners will figure this out it's not some shady desert deal, you need to actually pay the real money here
It’s interesting that Newcastle, Man C, Liverpool have signed nobody to strengthen their first team. Our business has become insufferably ponderous though, ever since we ****ed up by getting Barnes.
It's not like Man C even needed to strengthen tbf, they've just offloaded some of the offal they had lying around, for insanely good prices too. They're great at doing the business. Liverpool by all accounts appear to be skint, so I don't see them doing much. Like I think the idea they will sign Gordon for £80m+ to be extremely far fetched. Then you have us who do need reinforcements but can't even get over 10m stumbling blocks.
Barnes btw will go down as a massive flop, I don't have a second of doubt about it. He never even looked good at Leicester and our signing of him is perplexing. I don't recall ANYONE on here even suggesting we should sign the lad.

I can’t fathom it in the slightest. Don’t we get tonnes of cash from the UCL matches, the Adidas agreement, and the other new sponsors (Saudia)? I get the Anderson sale and PSR up to 30th June but how the **** weren’t we ready to move on certain players the second July kicked in??? Mitchell should have been made completely aware that a load of plans and scouting had already been done but it almost feels like we did absolutely **** all. I mean the move for Guehi is so….basic? Does that make sense, like how do you need a scout to tell you that Guehi is a decent CB?? Then we find out we’ve been discussing it for an entire week with barely any progress, it’s so odd. I don’t think Howes in the clear on this. He genuinely thinks the likes of Burn, Longstaff, Murphy, Trippier, Schar, etc, are far better than we can all see with our own eyes. I just cannot understand how we can’t scout beyond Crystal Palace. Even all the young kids we’ve been bringing in - it’s great, but they are literally all from the UK/I!! Even then Osula comment was weird - Howe claimed he’d been scouting him for three ****ing years!!
The adidas deal was significantly less than what was reported on here and everyone's made up calculations are as reliable as jonjo Shelvey. There's one truth... psr is still an issue .
