thought flitney as done well most the goals were basically poor defending which he couldnt do nothing about, he finished the month with a good clean sheet.

Jack Payne for me. Consistently solid. Always plays the right ball knowing it's neccessary to go back to go forward in cases. Only midfielder lately that's got stuck in EVERY game. Commited future to us with no hassle. Manager & fans dream player.

Jack Payne did not play until the 19th and in any case did not remotely approach the quality of performances put in by Jackman. For my money it would be between Flitney and Jackman with jackman just missing out because he was absent at the end.

He played in 4 of the 5 games last month, enough for me. Only saw Jackman at Bournemouth and yes he was very good but he played in less games than Payne so I don't see your point.

For me, Flitneys' kicking last weekend was enough to dismiss him. It was abysmal. People will say there was a lot of wind but the opposition keeper had NO issues. Kicking is a very important part of a goalkeepers job. The amount of chances that come from flick-ons/second balls is high.

End of the day this is all opinion, so I accept what you're saying and each to their own.

Everyone has their favourites and I doubt if anyone would argue against a conclusion that Payne, Jackman and Flitney have had a good month. Payne is the most valued asset that the Gills have and he rarely has a bad game but the only reservation i have is that Gills fans often assume he can do no wrong or that he can even have a spell of indifferent form. Contrast this to Flitney and Jackman who were both written off at the start of the season and have had something of a challenge to earn any credit at all for a string of good performances. Flitney's kicking may not be perfect but it is not awful and it is certainly a big improvement on anything offered by Julian and Royce in recent seasons.

I think there is an argument between, Jo Kuffour, Nouble, Jack Payne, Flitney and also Jackman, they have all been good, but I went for Nouble as he has been acceptable.

bristol isn't saying he was a bad keeper, the point he is making is that Royce couldn't kick. I for one 100% agree on that. Always shuddered when the ball was played back to him.

I've gone with Richards. Only because he gets a lot of stick and to be honest he has had a fairly good month.

richards has by and far been the olnly consistantly good player on the team since he got his starting role and about the only player who hasnt suffered an injury that has kept him out of a game. although all the other players mentioned as certainly in with a shout

Yeah Richards is improved a lot, he is significantly better now, I think this is going to be important in the future of the club, always knew he could be good.

So the Not606 fans player of the month is a tie between Richards and Jackman, I think I will make a vote between them and as I did not go for either my choice is Richards so he wins the Not606 fans player of the month.
