So Trump went rogue from his advisers (as he tends to do, when he sees himself sliding in the polls, according to former advisers) and called a sudden press conference at very short notice. It has, uh, not gone well... he is barely coherent and has clearly, as he prefers to do, not pre-prepared much of what he is going to say
His rising senility, alongside his drug addiction, make him almost unelectable - especially with Biden stepping down to admit that you can be TOO old.
If this was Biden the media would be screaming (rightly as it turns out, and they did) about how old and incoherent he was Why does Trump not get the same scrutiny? Or will he now ?
A lot of former aides to Trump have said he needs a lot of uppers through the day - and that is why his speeches are so erratic. One day tired and lethergic, the next talking nonstop for an hour. I don’t know if it is true, but certain people here love running with outlandish assertions from the crazies on social media and I want to play along. https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...ump-white-house-drugs-speed-xanax-1234979503/ https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/10/donald-trump-steroids-nuclear-war
Oh now you guys suddenly care about the presidents mental state the hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds. meanwhile closer to home the latest arrests by keir Stalin’s weaponised justice system are a gay couple that stumbled into the protests after bingo and have never been in trouble with the law before. . Never mind any of the machete wielding criminals across the country. The woke stasi cares more about jailing anyone in sight
Os, do you ever come up with these unbelievably witty nicknames by yourself or do you just find it a lot easier mentally to log onto Parler/X/Telegram and parrot word-for-word whatever all the lunatics are saying? Stalin FFS
It wouldn't surprise me tbh as he's extremely erratic but I don't understand why anyone with money would ever take amphetamine. Poor man's drug.
Trump’s completely unhinged, and a degenerate to boot. Nothing hypocritical about saying that. Any reasonable person must surely conclude as much.
Perhaps, but there's also lots of downsides to it which aren't there with cocaine so it goes both ways I guess. The thought of amphetamine makes my stomach turn like **** tbh, last time I did it was well over a decade ago at a rave but can still taste it whenever I hear it mentioned. Grim as ****.
Is this yet another case of republicans doing what they accuse the democrats of doing. Every accusation is an admission? Because didn’t he say that Biden needed to be doped up to get through the debate? I guess the tactic there is if anyone tries to say “no that is you” then people can laugh and say “I know you are but what am I is such a school ground insult”. Sort of like the whole “they’re weird” thing. It really bothers them and when the best they have is to get flustered and then say “we are not weird” and/or “the democrats are the weird ones” - then that isn’t an effective defensive (regardless of the perceived weirdness of some positions that some democrats support)
It’s option 2. Option 2 every time. The guy marches in lockstep with every single position of a select group of figures. Always ignored any request to name a position where he deviated from MAGA/Reform UK Ltd. But it’s everyone else here are the sheeple who believe everything the media tells them
If you were still a cheapskate on certain things? The dude eats McDonald’s and is apparently a billionaire. As tasty as it can be he can afford healthier junk food. Although I saw suggestion today that apparently part of it is paranoia about being poisoned. It was in the context of how he actually hasn’t been out much since his assassination attempt potentially due to fear that he is too macho to admit to. If he is genuinely afraid then that is absolutely not an unreasonable position to have. Except he has cultivated a position where: - he lambasted Biden for “hiding in his basement” in the last election instead of actively campaigning - criticises people for being low energy whilst making a reputation for high energy campaigning - cultivating a macho image (despite being the least macho man I could possible think of on every metric except height and actually afraid of working out in a gym) whereby his cultist think things like “left wingers are all low testosterone and have never been in a fight in their lives” (despite being obviously low-T himself due to his age, obesity and lack of weight training ever in his life and clearly never having been in a fight and draft dodged when the chance was technically forced on him) So as usual he is riddled with hypocrisy and sort of put himself in a bit of a corner. Assuming the media accurately points out he has sort of disappeared. Which I would say “they won’t” but I guess they were starting to hence this unscheduled press conference today where he has suggested multiple debates and bounced Vance into one he didn’t want to do against Walz (I cannot see how that will go anything other than disastrously for Vance but you never know)
We'll have to disagree on McDonald's being tasty! I take your point though. Poor quality vices are often appealing to people of all backgrounds and levels of wealth.
This NF=Farage thing comes up all the time. I would suggest that if CH4 say it is almost definitely not him then I would believe that seeing as they are probably the first in UK media to jump on any chance to "get 'im." Funny how people who harp on about misinformation spreading rumours are quite happy when it supports their angle. https://www.channel4.com/news/factc...idence-nigel-farage-was-in-the-national-front
So 50 thugs on their own being racist is bad.........but 50 thugs that join/hide/attend a "peaceful" protest is fine?
Going back to a previous discussion, here’s something I found from a 2018 FullFact report on a 2015 survey … “Professor of Israel Studies at SOAS, Colin Shindler told us: “Zionism today is the desire to turn Israel into Zion—and to create a just and fair society.” “In this context Zionism also means finding a solution to the Palestinian question such that both peoples can practice their right to national self-determination” Also … “It’s difficult to say definitively what modern Zionism is. Professor of Israel Studies at Oxford University, Yaacov Yadgar, told us that “these terms (Zionism, Jewish state, etc.) have competing, often conflicting meanings.” “He said that surveys that try to measure how many British Jews are Zionist “fail us exactly because they wrongly assume the questions they pose to their respondents are clear.”
