The Chairboys kick the season off "with the long trip to North Wales" 'Wrexham' "yes it doesn't do them any good" I do like that one, it's been nearly 17 years since we last met at the Racecourse Ground a 0-0 draw and that season they were relegated to non league where they stayed until last season. Matty will probably start with the same starting line up as for the friendly verses Watford Bishop, Grimmer, Harvie, Scowen, Hartridge, Leahy, McCleary, Bakinson, Low, Kone, Lubala. I won't be making the long journey to North Wales but I will be taking the game in via Sky Sports / Wanderers TV and hopefully we start the season off far better than last season
What a load of ****ing ****. Absolute shambles. It'll be a while before I watch them again, even though it is free
We didn't start well 2-0 after inside half an hour I put it down to the long journey to North Wales Wrexham Doesn't do them any good
We did have a bit of bad luck with the two against the crossbar, the defence gave them two goals the first & third, even after Kone got one back we had a lot of the ball but they kept us at arms length. Did the Wrexham goalkeeper have a save to make according to the stats 19 shots only four on target tells it's own story. I also thought Bloomfield took to long to bring Vokes on again. Also with the bookings I know ours was, but it took a while for the ref to wake up & book some Wrexham players. I think the result made it look better than it was. Looking at the Wrexham side they are going to let goals in, when you think how we played we managed to hit the bar twice & score twice. Also I can see their bookings mounting up.
On the brighter side, Peterborough are bottom, and there are 10 teams below us Not sure how we come to be above Burton Where were Butcher and Taff yesterday? I doubt we would have been 2-0 down with them on the pitch. I'm sure we will look better when the team gels and they are fitter. We played a lot of schoolboy football yesterday. Blooms said there were a lot of positives. The only positive I came away with was it couldn't get any worse. That was like watching a non league game (although I have seen several non league sides look better than we did yesterday). Wrexham played that game like it was a cup final. They shouldn't be too hopeful about making the play offs
