Fuming. Got my speeding fixed penalty notice today. Wasnt even my fault. Went onto a motorway thinking it was 70, overtook a few cars and then see some smart motorway sign saying 50, coasted it down and some cameras go off (no lines on floor). Pretty sure there wasnt any smart motorway signs at the junction coming down. Photo says i was at 62. ****ers trying to rob me blind. Might need to join a protest
Those smart motorways are absolute bollocks. You’ll be on a stretch with hardly any traffic and it’ll suddenly flash up as being 50. Roadworks taking 18 months to finish. China can build a railway line, four hospitals and a gulag overnight. But Doris doing 45 in the middle lane in her 2003 Yaris is sound.
The way the UK seems to work from my perspective is something like this. We need a new motorway. Multiple companies appear or change their names to things like Motorways R Us. They all bid. The one who gives the most in lies and brown envelopes wins. That company then tries to find out how to build a motorway and sack half their staff and hire new ones with the qualification that they dug a hole once.
It's reliable in South Wales, well reliable in that you will get called a **** by a group of jogger and hoodie clad teenagers who'll act like infants and swear loudly because they are proper tough, fighting men.

wasn't even busy and non of the motorway was under construction. Was 11pm at night. No idea why it was even 50. Absolute joke when i barely got a warning. Be warned though, next time i recommend hitting the brakes ****ing joke
