No more Stop The Boats headlines, hopefully. I see the Mail is now feigning outrage, but I wonder how their readers feel about the hooligans the paper has been gaslighting for years.
Yes the government(s) have not done enough, but this all started after the murder of three girls. How disrespectful can these scum bags be. I'd be defending myself too if I wasn't Caucasian right now. It's scary times. We've got people with money and power stirring the pot and causing more division and creating distraction. We argue whilst they laugh in their ivory towers. We are the pawns. Anyway, we've all got more in common with people seeking refuge than billionaires or most politicians.
The horrific incident was just the straw that broke the camels back. All I am trying to say is that I don’t think it helps anyone to pretend that everyone involved is far right. I am seeing far too much of it everywhere and in my opinion by minimising the concerns of people in these towns things will only get worse.
I've edited my last post. That's fine, I get your point. But the same can be said that not all people who support a ceasefire are extreme lefties with low testosterone. There's so much division it's giving me a headache. As someone else pointed out, my partner is black and we have a mixed race child... I fear for their safety right now. I'm considering moving abroad, I guess I will be seeking refuge myself.
A reminder from James O’Brien that a white man killed a black kid with a sword, and there were no riots. https://youtube.com/shorts/YiV1Ce3SKWM?si=5GtEKne8qn1ocyq3
This is a silly game to start playing because I can list many, many violent incidents that were carried out by people not originally born in the UK, and people didn’t riot. It’s disingenuous to say that there isn’t a reason behind these riots. People have been fed up for ages of the hotels full of people. They have been fed up of watching boats arrive with zero police presence. A lot of people (especially up north) feel completely neglected by the political establishment and like second class citizens in their own country. No one knows how many violent criminals are living in the UK right now plotting more murders like the one we saw last week. It’s literally impossible to know because our border laws have been so pathetically lax. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say it’s a national security risk. It’s possible to think these issues are worth protesting over, without being a far right extremist, or racist in my opinion. Voting to slow immigration simply hasn’t worked. The Tories said they will control our borders - they failed. Labour have come in and don’t seem to have any way to control our borders either. What Starmer is doing by gaslighting the public that these issues don’t exist is only going to make things worse.
I couldn’t agree more with that. But people are very quick to say “it’s only a few bad eggs” at the pro Palestine marches or the BLM marches. Yet here the government want to entirely block the conversations from happening based on the actions of the violent dickheads. That’s why I made a joke about Keir Stalin. He has a dangerous authoritarian streak in him as far as I can see
I hope he gives free rein to his inner Stalin. The violent scum that have been terrorising communities need sweeping off the streets and putting in gaol.
And now we come full circle and see why I say left wing politics is far more insidious than the right. When you feel that your views are the virtuous ones, there is no evil that seems unjust. In truth these people deserve fair trials. Zooming even further out, they shouldn’t be there at all as the government should have kept their promises and brought down immigration instead of 10x’ing it. Jeremy Clarkson said it best:
This guy is in a video on the beeb attacking a car. Worth a watch just to see him fail to break the window with his elbow and then hold it in pain His charge sheet reads: Violent disorder Three counts of robbery Two counts of burglary Criminal damage No suspended sentence for him this time!
'These people' deserve fair trials and they'll get them. Those found guilty deserve hefty sentences, and hopefully they'll get those too. I said the same thing following the 2011 riots btw, when Keir Starmer was the public prosecutor responsible for the 'swift and severe' reaction. Jeremy Clarkson ffs
All so true and as you say ... (bold) this is not English or British it is a minority and (underlined) we have created an underclass that's open to radicalisation
Gosh if you are ever citing Jeremy Clarkson on politics then you’ve jumped the sharks. He’s done well recently highlighting the plight of British farmers (cough - due to Brexit). But this is a lane he should stay out of I expect these people didn’t think they were going to prison. Many are likely in for a rude awakening. No statute of limitations on this. So if they are caught and convicted they will be going
