Rich Cawley has confirmed this morning that he had known all summer that Begovic was on the club’s wanted list.

 

Methven quoted by Rich Cawley this morning.

The club has sold 7,500 ST, says Methven, slightly up on the like for like figure last July, and on target to exceed 8,000.

It’s not a huge number of sales IMO, but I won’t criticise it as I am not buying a ST myself (disillusioned, got other things to do some Saturdays, live quite a way from the Valley now, although not as far as some).

Methven rightly points out that the owners / SMT haven’t entirely won over the fanbase with their intentions yet.

• Sold our two best players from that season - the two who undoubtedly prevented us being relegated.

Fair to say he's not doing a stellar job of winning me over.

 

Cawley has quite an interesting interview with him today.

The Medical team has discovered that one of the reasons we get so many injuries is due to the poor state of the training pitches, so they have invested £450,000 plus in new ones.

They have also brought the club shop back in house, and Methven expects revenues to double this season.

One surprise was reading that the suave and urbane Methven has moved to the **** hole that is Eltham

I believe well known Charlton box holder @TC (Lovely Geezer) has offered him the use of his penthouse on the Ferrier Estate ?

 

The ferrier estate doesn’t exist anymore does it ? Thought it was called Kidbrooke Village

I haven’t been living under a Rock for the last 10 years.

They kept one block of the old estate intact at the request of @TC (Lovely Geezer) he is a major HMO owner in the vicinity, hence being able to afford a private box at the Valley

Ness has had ankle surgery. There is transfer interest from other clubs in him.

I don’t think the club would be making this known to Cawley unless they were keen to move him on.
