    Geordie in peace chaps.

Looking forward to a good game on saturday, stage is set for it to be a very lively and emotionally charged atmosphere. We're flying high and full of confidence and you's boys have a point to prove. we're playing for league position so it should be very tasty.

Just wanted to ask you lot what you're likely line up will be and if youy have any significant injuries or suspensions.

We'll be without Jonas through suspension and we're hoping Tiote will be fit to play. if he is we'll be pretty much full strength.

*even if Tiote is fit Guthrie has done enough to keep his place

I now anticipate my sudden and immediate death

Apart from long term injured Essien and no suspensions--we should have a full squad to choose from! However mentally, quite a few of our squad are going absent at the moment! There was an article in the paper this morning, that suggested, they have some psychological problem ,all of a sudden, playing in front of the home crowd at SB. They seem to be different stuff away from home. From my perspective lets hope they live up to it and more next weekend!
Here's looking forward to a good match. <ok>

He won't play ben arfa on the wing in my opinion. he'll stick with the Ba/Benny front line and stick sammy out left. I'm not even sure that best is fit again.

This has 1-1 written all over it for me.

Our team will give or take be

    Cech
    Ivan Luiz Terry Cole
    Mikel (or Romeu)
    Ramieres Meireles (or Lampard)
    Sturridge Mata
    Drogba

Newcastle will be favourites for this game - Chelsea look a complete shambles. Perfect time to play Chelsea, Liverpool made them look clueless twice in 9 days at the bridge. Surely Newcastle can do the same?

AVB doesn't even know his best team yet <yikes>

I'd be really interested to see how that'd work out.

To the Chelsea lads, I didn't see your game last night but from the stats you seemed to be the team on top...What happened? Poor performance? Liverpool more clinical?

As for Saturday, I think the atmosphere is going to be incredible. Our lads will feel invincible whilst Chelsea have something to prove - great game for the neutral!

As it is, I'd be more than happy with a draw. 2 points from games against the soon to be champions, reigning champions and last champions would be epic! A win would ruin everything, I'd be back to the deluded babbling mess of a fan I was!

Ryan Taylor vs Sturridge worries me slightly. AT least Raylor's wrong footed for that side too so might be well-suited for when Sturridge cuts in as he always does. Sturridge is so one-footed it's unbelievable but it might well not matter as he's still a class talent.

I'm not a fan of changing a formation that's seen us only lose once (to the odds on champions) this season, particularly at home to Chelsea, its not a game for experimenting even if the lineup has to change slightly. Same as Man Utd with Sammy or Santon (yes I know he's naturally CM in Subbuteo) left wing, or switch Raylor and Santon round.

Yeah that's my only issue with it, looks great in principle but a large part of our success is our stability and every man knowing his job description to the letter. A change like this could upset the dynamic.

I'll be absolutely buzzing if we win this game.

Judging by AVBs comments Torres won't be playing and Romeu was poor last night so i'd expect it would be this - Cech,Bosingwa,Ivanovic,Terry,Cole,Ramires,Meireles,Lampard,Mata,Drogba,Sturridge

  17. Don't play Best IMO.

HBA has looked promising in the last few games and has set up great chances for Ba.

He set up a great chance for Ba vs City, and another good one vs United with a lovely lob through ball. He almost scored vs City, and even though it wasn't a pen, his beasty acceleration and great run beat United's defense and forced Ferdinand into a slide tackle in the box, which could have easily been mistimed by a lesser defender.

    -------------------------Ba---------------------------------

    -------------------------------HBA-------------------------

    Sammy-------Tiote/Guthrie-------Cabaye-----------Obertan

    Raylor--------Colo-------------------Saylor-------------Simpson

    ------------------------Timmy----------------------------------

Bring Best on later in the game if we need a change in style.

I personally think HBA has shown what he offers different from Best, and should be starting games regularly now. He's had the two toughest possible games to deal with coming back, and did quite well.

I could see him annihilating most other defenses in this league.

    Krul
    Simpson Saylor Coloccini Raylor
    Obertan Guthrie Cabaye Sammy
    Ben Arfa
    Ba

Pardew said in his interview the other day that he will pick the team on form. So even if Best and Tiote are fit he will still play Ben Arfa and Guthrie instead because they have been playing very well of late. Our back 5 will stay the same, after all that's the reason we are 4th.

It should be an interesting game considering Chelsea don't seem to know what defending is and there CB Luiz thinks he's playing up front in every game. Chelsea have a good attack though but we have the best defence in the league and our own attack isn't that bad. I think we will nick it 2-1 in a tight game. Ben Arfa to open the scoring, Mata to equalise and Shola to come off the bench to grab the winner. It should be a cracking game!

I like this but doubt it will happen. Draw is the most likely outcome here, and neither side will be too unhappy with that.

This. Also Pardew won't make many changes to be honest. The only chage IMO will be Sammy Ameobi coming in for Guti. Although I'll like to see Raylor at LM and Santon at LB.. would be quite interesting because they both have good defensive abilities but at the same time Santon would offer pace, skill and agility and Raylor would offer superb work-rate and crossing ability.
