I think they're making up these synchronised diving pairings for a laugh. The US won silver the other day with Cook/Bacon, so the Chinese raised the game with this duo: please log in to view this image
Terribly sad news! A wonderful cricketer and a great guy. He was starting his career as my time at Surrey was ending, but it was clear he was extraordinarily talented. RIP, Thorpey-lad!
Sad news, Thorpe was a pleasure to watch bat and a standout batsman in a largely disappointing era for English cricket, with a Test average of almost 45. RIP, 55 is no age.
Only the 10th GB woman to win an athletics gold - which emphasises what an achievement it is. She has the ability to break that world record sometime soon.
You know what would really improve the BBC's coverage of the Olympics? If they gave the same amount of focus to the person who won an event as they give to the English person who finished third
I'm really not convinced that this belongs as a sport or in a circus, but it IS an Olympic event - and **** me it's impressive!
Laura Kenny is brilliant commentating on the track cycling, so much knowledge and no Airs and Grace's along with Chris Hoy a great double act
I had to try explaining the Breaking to my parents If anybody would like to donate to my hard liquor fund...
I love the drama of the track cycling, I've been a fan and spectator since going to the Skol 6 day championships held at the Empire pool Wembley in the 70s , despite the ****ing about of the governing bodies of cycling it still has the most drama for me
All the people sneering that breakdancing isn't a proper Olympic sport don't seem to like it being suggesting that it's far more credible than Horse Dancing...
So, yeah, can we not let the French organise an opening or closing ceremony ever again? The sight of people headed for the exits during My Way as the closing ceremony was running at least 45 minutes long by that point (mainly due to the never-ending Cirque du Soleil knockoff bit) said a hell of a lot
Oh no!! Graham Thorpe took his own life suffering with depression! So much to live for and so much to give and the inner demons are so strong that he felt the need to end it all. That is tragic and one can only imagine the pain he was in and the pain his family and friends must be feeling now. Should be a wake up call for us all.
The no ball by Smith for not having his gloves behind the stumps when the ball is bowled , never heard of that law before
