Morning all Just about recovered from last night. It was a strange game, entertaining and hilarious in turn...some good passages of play and some basic passing errors. Good performances from Nosworthy, Hogg and Kightly and a couple of goals from nowhere. Though he scored Beattie looked far from fit and he and CI don't look like a very promising combination up front...a shame since Yeates and Kightly are capable of decent crosses. I'd expected more from BC after their recent good run and was surprised they didn't really go all out once they had the psychological advantage of that daft second goal. It looks as though it'll be a real scrap near the bottom of the table...not many points separating quite a few teams. Home form has picked up...we need some away 3-pointers now.
Forest is tempting, as is Birmingham. Only problem with Brum being it's the weekend before payday, so could be getting rather short of cash by then! I have a wedding to go to in April, but can't remember if it is the weekend of Hull home or Posh away!!
i'm hoping to go to Pompey too, if they're still around! And yes, definitely aiming for Posh at the end of the season. Whether i can get away with others inbetween remains to be seen!
oh my goodness! I was definitely on my phone just before kick off, and yes...Rous corner of the Rookery...you secretive blighter ...where were you?
Ooh...hmm, final whistle...i'm not sure...could have been texting rather than talking, my phone is often in use! lol. Though i was saying goodbye to Al at the final whistle so maybe not...not sure! There were a few of us last night, it was fun, along with my usual footie buddy, Master Hornette and my nephew, cutiepie that he is ...though he only comes for the hotdogs
Yeh hotdogs and the tea! I have to agree with H here about the lack of width, we seem to make our midield very narrow and there is no out ball for the defence other than the hoof and hope ball to the forwards. I mean we play with two wingers but they are rarely used as such IMO. There was one other thing I noticed last night which I have not before this season is the passing across our back line, talk about heart attack football I am all for the passing game but if the BCFC forwards had been any good and they were not last night! We would have been caught out and lost the game. When we were 2-0 up we were coasting and we did not look like losing or conceding but one moment of falling asleep (Dicko) for the first goal and the draw dropping clanger for the second it turned into a different game I still felt we could have won it and TD was so close in the final kick of the game We deserved the 3 points not them! U'Orns Now we simply must put Ipswich to the sword on Saturday, everyone else is
Ok I may see you there then - it's not too hard getting there from here... I don't drive so have to rely on trains!
I am up for Pompey, it mainly depends on how much I destroy my bank balance over Christmas and New Year... The trains are no issue as it's on a direct line down and only takes about an hour
