I wonder what the plan is with Sulemana and Mara. Both involved in pre season games unlike those we are sure are going to be gone in Tall Paul, ABK and KWP. But neither were good enough at Championship level and haven’t shown any miraculous improvement since, nor have there been any rumours about their exits.
Get rid of both ASAP. Unfortunately, Sulemanas injury probably puts a stop to that, and we'll be lumbered with him doing **** all until January at least. Still hope for Mara though!
Has KWP really not played all pre season? Bit daft that imo. While we're assuming he'll go the fact it doesn't seem close yet says it's by no means guaranteed and we could end up starting the season with our best player not match fit.
Totally agree, Mara and Suli should be sold or loaned out, neither are as good as SamAA or Dibling and will simply bloke their path and those of other academy players who are knocking on the door
Agree, although I’d be up for a loan for Mara somewhere he will play every single week and toughen him up. He has shown one or two flashes. Sulemana I just think we should cut our losses and get rid. He will never be a PL footballer. He was dog water in the championship. But tbh both of them have been embarrassing and I would lose no sleep to see either of them out the door.
I still haven't given up hope on Sulemana (but equally I wouldn't be fussed if we sold him). However, I'm in total agreement on Mara. Sell him, loan him, whatever: he's nowhere near good enough. Get him off the wage bill.
Honestly St. B l think neither have a future at the club. We need to get their salaries off the books through either selling or loaning. They are effectively stopping younger, hungrier talent from coming through. Selling, at least gives capital or balances the FFP - not that we are exactly spending heaps at the moment.
Both will need loans, it our best hope of getting any value from sales. They need to play regularly and prove themselves to interested parties
I do agree but Sulemana is out for 3 weeks so not sure he will be going anyway, at least not permanently.
I maybe clouded here but I can’t remember the last decent signing we made, of any £ value & without a loan period & fairly recent. Please, someone surprise me?
I would think Charly. He was signed halfway through our relegation season and he was the one player who looked like he belonged in the PL at that time.
