I've just read that West Ham are paying £27m for Fullkrug. The guy is 32 in a few months, that seems pretty f*cking steep. He's a good player but after signing for £12m last year he's scored 15 goals in 46 games and it isn't an outlay I'd want us to be making. They'll get 2 seasons before he's pretty much worthless. As for the Villa fapping that seems to be going on. They've traded Douglas Luiz for Onana (a downgrade) and Diaby - who some posters kept telling us was the second coming - for Philogene (a good prospect but again a downgrade). The only real improvement I see is at LB as Maatsen is probably better than Digne (another player we were told we were going to be sorry for missing out on). Not convinced they've improved, think they've got more depth but that their first team is actually weaker.

Yes, exactly. Lining up alternatives. One berth to fill, but not putting all the eggs in one basket... I doubt we're after two starting 11 level CBs. Would leave us unable to spend much at strengthening our RW.
If we’re going to a back 5 then a right winger isn’t a major necessity. The other centre back might be a younger squad player. Botman, Guehi and Schar. Kelly, Burn and new as back up
