There appears to be a back story that I became unfortunately embroiled in a year ago, hence why I asked. What is happening countrywide needs proper discussion to find a suitable ground before it escalates into more of a mess than it is now
The EDL are peaking. The football season is about to start and they don’t have the numbers or support to sustain what they’re doing. This will be over in a week or so. With regards to the discussion it feels a bit like after the horse has bolted. Why have the politicians waited and allowed this to happen? Why didn’t they listen to a huge number of people’s concerns about the numbers of immigrants coming into the country and the disharmony and division it was causing? Nobody wants immigration to stop but I think it’s sensible to get back to allowing in who we need and having tight controls on the number of refugees we welcome. None of these numbers can be unlimited despite the desperate plight that some folk find themselves in.
I think the Pandora's box has been well and truly opened now Chunk and with the kids off for the summer, we can only hope the adults go back to work, if they work. There is another way to resolve this, anyone found to be on benefits involved, could have their benefits stopped for attacking emergency workers. Attacking windows of houses and peoples personal vehicles is just mindless vandalism by youngsters brought up with no respect for other people's property and a lot of that will stem from decades of government failings. The kids will have nothing to do and no where to go for weeks, so why not cause mayhem, little ****s.
I mean you’ve got to give them a chance to knock on peoples doors and ask peoples opinions ….. oh wait
There is as always a fine balance about immigration, it needs grown up, adult conversations about how we tackle it and not the hate filled dialogue we have seen recently And the hate comes from both sides, it needs adults to agree a way forward
but it;s not just immigration and I'm not really understanding why we are stuck in this migrant rut, alot of it was actually about knife crime, but other forces took over and jumped the bandwagon. I know people will say well what can we do, I'm not the politician it;s not for me to work this out, but I can tell you what I want, and this is not to see knife fights in the open in Southend, I don't want to see the endless knives on display in our capital city, I don't want to see soldiers getting stabbed, I don't want to see little kids losing their lives, and if that is not clear enough for our politicians, then stick them all on the bonfire, sort it out and sort it out now...before the next time, which actually seems common place every day now.
God only knows where this acceptance of carrying a knife has come from, it's horrendous and seems to be accepted nationwide. The laws around it need to be harsher and zero tolerance for anyone found carrying one. It's just a mess
I’ve already said I’ve not seen what the politicians are saying but it appears to be the usual ****e point scoring. This needs all sides to come together and back a resolution together. You know actually stand up for the local communities the bastards are actually meant to represent and who beg for our votes promising they will if elected.
That's ny sensible posts down for the year, back to lurking and reading. A heart scare brings some clarity
Bit of rainy weather should do it, can't remember the last time i saw a riot in a rainstorm or even in winter tbh.
According to someone on SKY the police had intelligence two days ago that the Holiday Inn in Rotherham was going to be attacked.
One way to start on knife crime is armed Police doing stop and search and dealing harshly with any one who resists and any threat from the knife carrier deal with it the way they would in virtually every other country in the world, but then all the bleeding hearts would be marching on the streets protesting about Police Brutality
Back in ‘78 the clash played Rock Against Racism. Ending with White riot. could you imagine that sort of cultural/ethnic mix at a Coldplay gig and to empower the working classes. who would step up now, the 1975?
The only knives I ever have are all in my kitchen, oh and maybe a stanley knife (or two) in my toolbox, but all within the home. Only other time I would be carrying a knife is if I've just bought it from a shop and have the receipt as proof of purchase. I accept some people require knives for outdoor activities and in the workplace. But no one should really be carrying them on the street otherwise.
Worlds just gone to **** ever since someone decided everyone should have the right to change Tom dick and Harry to Tom dick and fanny because it was the modern thing to do. Politicians became **** scared and now every other ****ing minority group wants to scream the loudest to get their own way too.
Did you know it's even illegal to BUY pepper spray in the UK. Yet some kid carries a big fook off knife lol
