I hope there is someone there photographing everything and it’s handed in to the police, slowly they can go round and pick them up one at a time. Minimum of five years.

On a side note to get out of the town centre because it was totally blocked off with Police i walked through a housing estate full of Asians, at this point i just wanted to get back home. Looking back it was stupid. . I saw a young Asian couple sweeping glass up outside their house from having their living room window put through, and not one car in the estate was undamaged. I passed a number of asian males, on my own including gangs of 5 or 6 and none of them said a bad word to me. Imagine if that was the other way round?

Did you take that photograph? I hope you realise you'll be on CCTV and police cameras ( and possibly press photos) as being nearby this attack. Be prepared to appear in the papers and local news if you were, I hope your friends, neighbours, employers will believe you just went along to observe, because our media coverage can be brutally conflicting at times. Depends on circumstances for me. Some mam pushing a kid in a buggy can please herself, covering your face when there is risk of criminal disorder another. Not saying I’m a fan entirely cos there’s risk of coercion. Police can at least show discretion
I've been ( innocently) in the vicinity of a similar attack years ago, and I got a knock off plod, and some very upsetting reactions from people who put 2+2 together and got 5. It's no joke, the police will be going through footage with a fine tooth comb over the next few months, and it'll be no 'party', believe me.
Im fine with that. I was stood the opposite side of the road and if it wasn't for the knives id have tried to stop them

Na, 'someone' is merely highlighting the ridiculousness of a grandiose statement that covering your face should be considered a criminal act, given the fact we were all recently forced to cover our faces for a significant period of time.
Porter field is giving you some good advice mate. The coppers will come down heavy and want to speak to anyone within a sniff of any bother. Just get yourself prepared and expect the knock.
