Been into town this afternoon for a couple of drinks, police very visible but no sign of bother. Walked down Fawcett St and noticed Greggs and NatWest had windows put out amongst others. How stupid do you have to be to believe that's going to achieve anything? *Rhetorical question BTW*

I agree, but you can still attest to the colour of the scarves, the clothing they were wearing, the amount of people there, the description of the machetes, the level of violence used, the direction taken by the suspects when they left the scene. There is still so much evidence you could give the police to assist them in the investigation.

Well im home now, and tonight will live in my memory for a long time. The asian community were prepared for this and the carnage i experienced and which is still happening now is something i never thought id ever see in my home town. I spoke to a Policeman and he told me that most of them are from Yorkshire and have no idea about the area. They are up here to help Cleveland Police. He was a sound lad, and i do genuinely feel sorry for them. Most of the people i experienced tonight were chavs intent on causing as much damage as possible. Every taxi or car that passed with a none White British driver had a rock thrown through the window.
Always thought this. Should be an offence to hide your face, even for religious reasons. Covering your hair is one thing, but to hide your face is simply wrong and should be the same for everyone.
Hopefully plod tazered the arsehole. I'll defend anyone's right to protest peacefully even if I don't agree with their point of view, but what we are seeing deserves swift and severe punishment.
So not to labour the point but from your own perspective you are an eye witness to an attempted murder, section 18 GBH, ABH or violent disorder. Once all the furore dies down there will be a huge investigation. You need to let the police know what you saw and be prepared to give evidence.
