Signing ****ing anybody would be good right now. Claims last week they hoped for a breakthrough before this weekend.
Best starting 11 selected from players of each club? I expect we'll have some better options for RW and RCB soon, but for now I'd probably go with: Isak Gordon Bowen Joelinton Guimaraes Tonali Emerson Botman Kilman Livramento Pope/Areola I'm not the greatest expert on West Ham players though...
They were close to Newcastle last season and they've added some good players. Newcastle so far have done nothing, but there's still time.
Urgh, dude. Firstly let's not tar all "the English" with singing "football's coming home", whenever I see anyone doing that it clearly flags them as a moron. Guehi is clearly decent, and justifies a high price tag, and is an obvious improvement on what we are currently starting with. Maguire was clearly a different case, Man U going with a marquee signing like Sancho, Sanchez etc, had performed well at Leicester, but then thrust into an erratic team at Man U, and not helped by playing under Mourinho, Solskjaar, Ragarick, blah blah, and that's before we get onto his personal life. Man U can **** up anyone's career these days.
What's that got to do with it? Doesn't make their signings any better, and we have a much better squad than them right now anyway.
Of course it does because they have a stronger side than last season? Newcastle haven't done anything yet in comparison mate.
Nah not for me! Wilson is finished and Barnes isn't better than kudos or Summerville. Guimareas is a central midfielder. Just accept it West Hams front 4 has now been significantly improved and so far Newcastle haven't done anything. That could change... I'm hoping for Bowen actually.
Summerville dd naff all in the premier league and they signed the keeper who let in more goals in the top league than anyone else ever has. They've also paid a fortune for a non scoring 18 year old winger, and got rid of Benrahma. There's barely that much difference, and Newcastle squad is significantly better.
They're cooking dogshit sandwiches, they really ain't all that, would be very surprised if they improve on their 9th last season. You may as well start bigging Everton up.
Myabe stronger but I'm not convinced. They've signed a couple of good wingers and a good striker. They are positions they needed depth more than anything. Where they were weaker last year was in the middle (after losing Rice) hence Phillips came in on loan and got games. A lot is going to depend on Pacqueta as if he is banned then I'd argue they're weaker despite the signings.
They aren't at our level whatsoever. Rice leaving made a huge difference to their team and Paqueta still has a potential life ban hanging over him.
Sulai Newcastle might add players but other clubs around them are stronger. Tottenham Chelsea Villa West Ham have all improved.
