Funny that isn't it, because the same thing is happening in Ireland as we speak, "reap what you sow eh?", insert joke about potatoes.
The clash in Bristol between "protestors" and anti fascists is a sign of things to come and the silence from the spitting image puppet that is Farage speaks volumes. I can see this escalating for a while yet unfortunately.
Reaping what you sew should apply the other way too. But there is no discipline in schools, wet wipe judges, lack of prison cells, (or brain ones) and not enough police on the streets. If you want to beat people up, smash property, be a threat to society then the full force of the law and getting battered with a police truncheon, is reaping what you sow.
Not denying that a shortage of the right kind of policing is an issue but I think we need to invest in youth provision and social support then the high cost prison places would be needed. There was a time when there was youth support for whatever level the child is at. Now even charities are struggling to provide it. You fail to invest in people and there’s a consequence. A kid without parental support or spare cash has little fun and neither is their fault.
Understand what you mean, but the courts are incredibly lenient, and, as we’ve seen recently, the police’s hand are tied. Makes me vomit when politicians say “We fully back the police”. They don’t in the slightest. One sight of being a bit “overzealous” and their job is at risk. They have to stand there and in a lot of cases, take a beating as they’re to scared of consequences if they react. Bollocks to all the rioters, put them in prison. If the prisons are overcrowded, make use of the prisoners and get the pampered twats build new ones. Modern society stinks to high heaven.
You generally talk a lot of sense Smug, but the British did a lot of good around the world. No empire is perfect and the British Empire wasn’t either. But please don’t berate the country of your birth (I assume). If our country was so bad then you would assume that the many countries that we did impose our will upon, once freed from their colonial shackles would revert back to their own way of doing things. That they didn’t would suggest that they like the British way of doing things.
Well it sounds like you may work in that field, but being honest mate I can’t find any excuse for smashing property or peoples faces in. That is their fault, We don’t know how many of those kids are as described by yourself. I just can’t comprehend wanting to smash things up to make a point, we had to make our own fun as kids too.
Not excusing brainless hateful behaviour, just saying the solutions can be more positive than new prisons.
