I hear there is a peaceful demonstration at the club shop at 12 to protest the sale of the club. See you in a while.
The issue with this is Walters style, not that i dislike it, quite the opposite! However, if you've lost the first couple of games with no squad and then get players in at the end, then lose the next few while players gel and learn the system (which looks ****ing bonkers) you're suddenly 10 games in with 10 points and everyone starts getting a little twitchy. We've got a rod of a load of dross, which I'm over the moon about- but we really risk having the same issues next year unless we get some good, permanent bodies in.
Last season we lost our first game, away at Norwich. Our squad that day was crap because half of our transfer business hadn't been done yet. Harry Vaughan was the best winger at the club, and both Vinagre and Connolly had to feature whilst totally short of fitness because there was no one else. Winning that one game instead of losing it would've put us in the playoffs. I'm amazed anyone is OK with writing off the first four games this time.
Because likely, the expectation is much lower... whoo knows, that might change by the end of August...
If the hope is just for survival, then you're right, who cares, if we get good players in by the end of the window we should stay up. Bit of a depressing lowering of expectations but fair enough.
Starting the season the way we look like we're going to is pathetic, embarrassing, piss poor and inexcusable.... and that's with the 3 that are due this week.
Why should the expectation be much lower? He sacked liam for finishing 7th apparently... So that boosts our expectations to 6th or above... Atleast it should. More thoughts that Acun has nefarious ideas
Rosenior didn’t get the sack for finishing 7th. He effectively sacked himself after the January transfer window.
If players and/or their agents read any of the stuff posted on here since 5pm yesterday we'll never sign a player again. Toxic doesn't describe it adequately!
Rubbish. And if that is genuinely the reason then the genuine reason is rubbish. In neither case was it Rosenior's fault.
