Why would there be? When have clubs ever given public insight into deals they are trying to get home? More worrying for me is TW didn't indicate any likely incoming. Last week he was directed and said "yes, tes, yes" when asked about incoming this week (and we had one in, missed outdone one at 11th hour).
Walter had a dream To invade a country He bombed Coventry and made rubble out of Hull Attitude like a bull Glass only half full We are Hull City And our squads on a cull
Hamburg, Cologne, a load of other German cities, Warsaw, Stalingrad etc all managed to do it a lot quicker and don’t go on about it as much.
Copied from FB….concern levels increasing This is a big deal lets see what's comes out of it I did Search the Turkish daily news but nothing on there so definitely take with a grain or bag of salt According to recent reports by Hürriyet Daily News, Turkish media mogul Acun Ilıcalı is allegedly contemplating the sale of Hull City FC. The rumors suggest that Ilıcalı, who acquired the English football club in January 2022, is now looking to divest his interest in Hull City to focus more on his beloved Turkish club, Fenerbahçe SK. Insiders claim that Ilıcalı has been weighing his options over the past 2 months and is hoping for a quick sale. While no official confirmation has been made, sources close to the situation indicate that his decision is driven by his desire to devote more time and resources to Fenerbahçe SK, alongside his expanding media empire and recent forays into digital platforms. This news has sparked concerns among Hull City fans, particularly regarding the club's transfer activities. There have been recent reports of transfer deals stalling or not going through, raising fears that the uncertainty surrounding the club's ownership is affecting its ability to strengthen the squad. The speculated move comes as a surprise to many, given Ilıcalı’s strong involvement in Hull City’s operations and his well-documented passion for football. However, his evolving business interests and dedication to Fenerbahçe SK could be prompting this significant shift in his portfolio
I didn’t really want to say anything but one of the main reasons I came back to the forum was because my mate who previously worked at City but still keeps in regular contact with his old colleagues told me a similar thing last week and I wanted to see if anyone on here heard anything too. He said he heard through the grapevine that Acun is looking for a way out and has made informal approaches to local business owners but nothing serious yet. I don’t know if it’s credible or whatever but since it’s now being discussed on here, I thought I should mention it.
As we discussed last night via PM ( might as well say it here now. )... I've been hearing it for a few weeks now
Would be a major disappointment if this happens. He has re energised the support base of the club and done very well with sponsorships etc., I don’t buy into the Walter ball style where players have to be re conditioned. Spain showed how to play the game. Get the ball move it quickly and get the ball forward with pace on two wings. I don’t see the game as needing to be complicated. Do the basics and do them well and you will be successful.
I know he's a businessman first but he owes it to us and the relationship he's forged to at least make us competitive for the coming season. His negligence will probably leave whoever takes over picking up the pieces in League 1.
Sorry. I know these sorts of rumours are probably the last thing you all want to hear right now given the current state of things at the club but I do believe we all, as supporters, deserve a lot more transparency and context as to what’s going on. Like I said, I’ve just heard a rumour and I don’t know how credible it is myself so take it as you will.
None, really. Even when the Allams owned the club, local business owners weren’t interested. The rumour I’ve been told is Acun has reached out to them to gauge if there’s interest but there might be no interest locally.
