Agree that Pandur did little wrong today and may have made a world class save in the last minute if he tipped the shot over the bar - I couldn’t really tell. We looked ok until they scored then we just slowly unraveled. Our left side isn’t working either in attack or defence. Marvin started brightly but faded badly. Longman and Omur looked our best players so Sod’s Law that they both picked up injuries. Simons looked ok but just not at the standard we had in Morton and Seri last season. Slater and Dramah were ok but nothing more. Oscar isn’t good enough. He wasn’t before and he isn’t now. His golden start 2 years ago hides the fact that Rosie knew what he was talking about. The season hasn’t started yet so things aren’t critical but if we don’t strengthen across the board forget the playoffs.
More concerned about current news headlines and World events than what increasingly looks like a very difficult season ahead for City to be honest. UTT.
Doing the bare minimum to get onto a pass. Grumbling when it wasn’t right at his feet. Lazy wafted crosses without much care or attention. ****ing off down the tunnel the instant the final whistle blew, while all other players came to take applause from the Tiger ranks. Will that do?
We need more players, and next week the season will start. Like I said before, it's more maybe a longer pre-season, because we have to adapt new players if they will at the end and finally step in. "It's all about deciding, it's all about decision-making, It's fine. If you bring some players in and you decide for me, it's fine but it's all about decision making. At the moment, I have to work with those players I have and not more." On the subject of conversations with Kesler and Ilicali about new recruits and how close they are, Walter added they were "always good, always good". City will continue to work on new arrivals over the weekend with Oscar Zambrano's move from Ecuador still on the agenda, while talks continue with FC Basel over a move for Liam Millar, but Walter admits the squad needs depth throughout, from back to front. "There could be (players in before next weekend). Nobody knows," he said when asked if he thought more arrivals could come ahead of the opening game. "It's obvious, you need players in every position. You need more players in every position. "We can talk especially about this player or this player or this position, but we need players in every position we need a progression. I have to wait and I have to stay strong and it's what I did but losing games, I'm not happy about it."
Agree. But we look to our football for a bit of escapism. At the moment it's just adding to the gloom!

Funny how I was called a panty pisser for saying we would have a squad like the 16/17 one for pre season.
Analysis from an optimist: WE’RE DOOMED! Just kidding, for now. So we have been shown up by a team the division below. We were not brave on the ball and we offered next to nothing going forward. We ‘controlled’ large parts of the game with our possession (those who know me well enough know this is something I don’t rate anyway) but ultimately, we weren’t good enough everywhere. Positives: Mehlem looked good. The result means nothing. Let’s not forget that it’s just a friendly. Negatives: A lot. And they’re obvious, so I won’t bother. Where to go from here?: We’ve found out that we really do need players inbefore next Saturday! 3 minimum. The next week will be telling. If we sign nobody, then it looks like I am wrong about the current state ofaffairs. Time to worry. We need a striker. Not just that Oscar doesn’t look good enough (I really hoped we’d see the early Oscar), but we need to bring someone on who’sgoing to make an impact if he’s still not performing. 2 wingers needed. I’ll take one who is exceptional for now. When Longman looks your best attacking option, it’s time to worry. And even he’s probably injured. Fair play to Longman though, he has looked decent since he came back. An experienced goalkeeper would be more than welcome. I think most of us would relax a bit.Pandur’s reactions are delayed to me. He didn’t position himself well again for that goal, and then didn’t even dive anyway. LB is needed. Coyle, if fit, might be ok to cover. I don’t rate Giles at defending. This is a must for me also. I now think I’ve gone over the 3 I said we need. I said it after Fenerbahce I think, at least the board now truly know we need quality players. Time is really ticking. Do I think we’ll get them? Yes. I still have faith. We are without doubt further away from a good enough XI than I thought. Big week coming up. Let’s see who we get in and if Acun can get the fans excited again. It’s needed, even for an optimist.
