I’ve just seen that Leanne lass who’s been nicked for throwing bins at the police is only a few years younger than my mam. How ****ing embarrassing man how do you explain that to your kids :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Clearly a few bus loads of far right antagonists orchestrating yesterdays disgrace. There are ways for the police to deal with them, similar to the way they deal with known football hooligans.

The bigger problem, which is much harder to think around, is the locals that are more than willing to join in for the fun of it. I personally doubt those people are actually racist, it's just an excuse for misbehavior in my opinion.

There is a sizeable proportion of this country in all areas and ethnic groups who have literally raised themselves, zero parenting, zero role models, easy access to cheap booze and drugs who aspire to nothing more than making it through the day and any additional 'excitement' will be grasped with both hands, without thought of the consequences.

Most of the idiots wearing Sunderland shirts yesterday will have hero worshipped Muslims and black lads that have played for Sunderland in the past. Thick as mince, feral basically. I suspect last nights events amount to not much more than just a bit of excitement in their basically futile existences.

How do you address that? How do you drag what basically amounts to the underclass into having aspirations. Not an easy task. Certainly been no meaningful attempt to do so in my lifetime.

Half an hour before kick off, today, I knocked off and went down to my off licence in Lower Largo ...

... the lad, typical Muslim corner shop owner, had the Hearts v Rangers game on the radio so I asked how it was going.

He shook his head so I asked if Rangers, his team, was losing.

He said, 'It's not that, I'm just not happy with Sunderland today.'

Thanks a lot you f*cking thick racists, I enjoy my chats with the lad and now he looks at me differently.

I bet, the next time I get the train, through Edinburgh, to the SOL there'll be a load of lads off to a Muslim wedding ...

... I'll be there, with my Sunderland colours, feeling like a f*cking pariah <doh>

The press haven't helped it at all, too many generic reports of Sunderland rioting and nowhere near enough accurate details about it being a small minority racists coming together in Sunderland from all over the place to kick off.

Of course there were some moronic locals joining in, every city or town has racist trouble making arseholes unfortunately but the majority are decent people.

Imbeciles, like Saf, may claim Sunderland is a racist town but there was a few hundred people on the streets yesterday ...

... there's probably a few hundred Mags, in the town, but that doesn't make Sunderland Newcastle does it <doh>

My Dad always told me that his history, and his Dad's history, would become my history.

At the time I had absolutely no idea wtf he was talking about and dismissed his comments because he was a coal face hewer and I was a Grammar School boy who sang the school hymn in Latin every morning. What a f*cking idiot I was. He tried to get me to watch the news when Enoch Powell was on but I was above all that. After seeing the scenes of Farage/Johnson/Trump riling up the fascists/EDL/BNP or whatever they are, these days, I said a prayer to my Dad and apologised.

There's a saying about history repeating itself, how true that is ...

    ... here's Farage's hero.

He wasn't stabbed. He was hit by a blunt object being thrown. Staffordshire police have tweeted this.
