It isn't so much that we lost every pre season game bar one, it's that the system we are using requires far more technical ability than we have in our squad and we're still doing it despite there not being players who can perform in it. So why have we wasted an entire pre season getting turned over when we could have just played Boston or Brigg and thumped them while practicing the shape? We need better players, to put it simply. If we're going to play some German style Gegenpress that requires tactical fluidity, it's a good idea to have clever players who can adapt to that. Otherwise, just play a regular formation that the current players are familiar with until we can bring in better.
I'm always find myself questioning why Connolly, Traore, Doc and Christie were released... What was the motive there?
What I can’t believe is how many touches our players or British players in general need or are coached to take with the ball ,Reading did it better - but then they moved well on the counter we are still doing Rosie ball - it will take time I think to change or forget fear
You serious? Christie's legs had gone, Doc just not skilled enough, Connolly was just unreliable for various reasons. Traore not too sure, I always quite liked what I saw but there wasn't that much.
Connolly- headache Traore - expensive and really not that good Doc- trier but lacks quality Christie - past it
