But we've conceded goals too easily in all the games. We've still got a lot more quality than Reading. For where we are right now, this playing style is suicide, we need someone who can keep the door closed and grind out results.

The amount of yo-yo’ing on this thread is comical.

the frustrating thing about last season was the squad was far better than their results and performances suggested.

the concerning thing about these pre season games is we just don’t look very good at all.

I’m not sure we do have more quality than reading in the final third.

Honestly, I would. I’d get out before my family comes over if I was him. Financially, it would be giving up a huge contract but pride and reputation would certainly be a huge factor. It was for Bruce when he left.

I like Walter. I like his approach to football, his attitude, his personality etc. and I wouldn’t want him to leave at all but I wouldn’t blame him one bit. I’m really ****ed off at the board and how they’ve handled things this summer. I wouldn’t give Acun the satisfaction of sacking me and making out I was to blame for the club’s failings.

look at the state of that keeping... he's behind his own line ffs. Remember in the Q+A Allsop getting dug out for conceding from the half way line and then Pandur got lobbed in the same way against Ferner? Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Acun's ****ed us off after he so publicly backed him and now he's getting embarrassed.

You've got to have a screw loose to invest in a football club and like others have said, it seems like Acun needs to be loved
 
We’ve looked poor defensively but what are people expecting? The same people moaned under the previous manager about too many draws and too safe. It’s early days, Tim’s working with one hand tied behind his back given the lack of quality in the squad at the moment and the players are adapting to a new way of playing. Play safe and prioritise control, you get more draws and that was our downfall last year. Now we’ve got a manger who wants to get us on the front foot and people are calling it suicide! You can’t have it both ways
