Well I'm keeping my jck hat on and disagreeing with you all. As you know BT I've been to Spurs a few times. Yes there are quite a few visible South Korean fans there supporting Son but the vast majority of home fans are dyed in the wool Spurs for many years. Also, if so expensive how come the away end sells out most games? They're not there to see recent additions to the Spurs trophy cabinet. That's only one Prem club I know and I'm sure others can shoot me down with other club examples. As BT knows I had doubts about renewing my 24/25 ST. A lot to do with the poor standard of football last season. I renewed in the end in the hope that things get better. I know that BT has been to watch non league and lower age games. Frankly I couldn't be arsed. I have better things to do with my time. However thats getting away from the topic. Like it or not football is a business and the best at it rise to the top - and try to do whatever is needed to stay there. Not all succeed, e.g. dirty Leeds and others fall out of the top group from time to time but money is what makes it all go round. If you don't like it, fine, do or say what you want but the bottom line for me is that if we lost the best teams to some Euro or even world super league UK football would be a lot poorer for it.
Therein lay the problem. Professional football at "the top level" is no longer a competition between athletes but a competition between rich businessmen who compete with each other to buy success. For me if I wanted to watch competing businesses, I'd subscribe to the FT and watch The Apprentice and similar. What I want is no longer achievable in a society that actually applauds greed and the rise of the financial fitness. Anyway, I appreciate I'm an old idealist.
I suppose that makes me an old traditionalist. I just realised that in terms of my comparison with jcktwat at least my spelling, grammar and punctuation is in order - I hope....
Another high scoring defeat for the 21s. Barry Town this time. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_8ptt2euz
Why on earth was he in Turk country? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/chelsea-star-enzo-fernandez-found-29576292
Hardly a friendly https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-vs-wrexham-chaos-players-29607911
I suppose they've got to get noticed somehow as they continue to live in the shadow of the Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds. Same goes for Wrexham too.
I've just seen the Ollie McBirdbrain has left the Blades and signed for Las Palmas out in Gran Canaria - WTF are they thinking??? All that cheap beer and sunshine can only spell trouble for them with him over there now. In saying that, they may be willing to let Kaba go for peanuts now, he could prove to be a useful back up for us to whichever striking star we bring in to bang in the goals
Its a valid aspiration, and the owners seem to have a plan that has been delivered to date. It gets harder though. Either us or the Swans could go down to meet them, though I'm more confident about the coming season for us.
An interesting read. It's not all about the glamour. Though he does have Wrexham on his CV. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c51ynqw5re2o
Delightful story and character. I wonder he earns enough to keep body and soul together......or is this some sort of part time?
Man City fined £2M for taking too long over half time on 22 occasions. Man City: Pep Guardiola says he will do shorter team talks after £2m club fine - BBC Sport
Ok, so regardless of the facts that the "elite" don't think rules apply to them and that £2m is a drop in the ocean as far as they're concerned, what happens to the £2m? Is it filtered down the leagues? Can elephants fly?
