Had three t shirts from Art of Football years ago now, design, (Deano Wembley goal, Owen goal against Argentina, and Meyler nutting the corner flag against Sunderland) decent designs and good quality material. I'll have another look at their site later. :emoticon-0138-think

We have started to use a factory in Turkey for socks. Met a lot of Turkish factories at Ispo, they are great for us for knitted product like socks and scarves.

I've got better pictures from that from trips to our factory in Pakistan. Whenever I go I am amazed how some of these things stay upright. Then you get full families on one motorbike. Only the dad with a helmet on. Makes me chuckle.

Or if you bought any of the last batch of merchandise from Turkey.......orange.
What's up with getting some of this stuff made locally? The price they are charging doesnt reflect what it cost to make. I'd take a punt that the profit margin on this imported stuff is well over 100%. You can also get any PL replica shirt in Sports Direct for £25, also all imported, so why is our stuff so expensive?

We were told yesterday that Kappa have just put a 21% price increase on the replica home shirt. The club have cut their margin and only increased the retail by 10%.

You'll be telling me next that the club are doing us all a favour and 'giving it away'. I bought some gear from the club shop for my grandaughter last season and the quality was shocking yet the price was ridiculously high. I bought her the centinary shirt with the sponsor 'Bonus' across the middle. It was stick on,as was the club badge and was peeling off after one wash, shocking quality. Kappa should either employ better quality control or should be reducing prices by 21%.

I don't know if that is the same one. The one I bought my grandaughter ( 9) was of course a small size and the Bonus panel was stick on, not stitched.

I have one of the Matchwinner retro shirts (same one as the image I posted). The club badge is embroidered and the BONUS sponsor is vinyl.

It would cost them a fortune to manufacture in the UK. And I'm not sure you could get any current PL shirt in Sports direct or anywhere else for £25.

He will still have to pay their royalty. Kappa approved factories will produce it but there will be a fee added at that end or he has paid a huge fee for the licence and needs to recoup it that way. It costs us about £7 to manufacture a Kappa standard shirt (z692 fabric they use) because we own that facility and use the same fabric. The factory charge Kappa licensees around £12 depending on volume. Acun will likely be paying more or at least that either to the factory or to Kappa. Add in shipping costs, tax, retail staff and bricks and mortar costs for the stores the mark up won't be huge at £45 inc VAT
