Half of them have been mentioned in this thread as players people would have Who are we deeming would be a quality striker that we’re after? Realistically we’re shopping in a market that’s so cheap we’re taking chances there’s nothing to say even someone like Ugbo will be quality.
Pathetically advised. Chasing the bag constantly and not bought into the youth development pathway that is now at the AOL. Just needs to look at Riggs rise through the first team. He is a really tidy player mind and I wouldn't be surprised for him to play at the top level at some point.
Waste of a season then. Criminal at that age. Every chance he could have gotten some game time here had he been a bit wiser
Nothing to say spending big money brings in quality either tho I still get nightmares thinking about some of our big money signings over the yrs
Me too, think the lads needs more games. To adjust to the championship. Fingers crossed he'll turn out
Aye thats the thing, he probably would've gotten a first team appearance last season the way things turned out. Now he'll be playing academy football again.
BTA, Vipotnik, Moore, Gallagher, Langstaff, Celar too maybe. Armstrong was mentioned too but shot down quickly iirc
Strange one, I was told Riggs progression was what pissed them off, Rigg being the ‘golden child’ and not him no idea if that’s true mind
Will never succeed with that attitude, most players will play in a team with a better prospect than them
Imagine if the current hierarchy had the club towards the end of our PL era when we had players who look like world beaters for a few weeks? We’d have somehow managed to bring in £80m for Van Aanholt and Kone
2 games for Arsenal u18s. 1 game for Man Utd u18s. 1 game for Leeds reserves, 3 games for Leeds u18s. I remember reading he trialled with Ipswich as well but didn't feature for them, could be other examples like that.
Hawking his wares across the land when he should be getting 30 games a season under his belt for the 21s. Madness
Heard something similar that went with them asking for the same wage Rigg was being offered then his fatha smashing up the place at the AoL when they wouldn’t offer it so the club binned him off.
Which will be why they are being deliberate. There's a point where wanting to get a decision right becomes paralysis of course, but there aren't many shots at this this summer (particularly if we retain the likes of Clarke). I can understand a desire to try to get the best possible chance of success.
