McKenna gone to Las Palmas. Our pulling power is at an all time low, how can we not compete against them!
Not bothered by this. He’s good in the air and that’s about it. He’s average on the ball and incredibly slow. Doesn’t strike me as the type of centre-half that would suit Walter’s style of football at all. If anything, he’s the antithesis of it.
Have been hoping that the club are just feeding Barry Cooper stuff to keep him busy and distract from other targets. That theory's being well tested by this point though
But when an England manager does play a more modern style, to get the ball on the floor and be more technical people complain that it's not direct enough, too much fannying about with it, etc.
Everything except accessibility. I’m just booking flights to Gran Canaria. Flight time 4 hours 50 minutes. If I chose an early September break in Norwich the drive time is 5 hours 30 minutes. Frankly the Norfolk tourist board need to get their finger out and build an airport. Or move closer to the A1
I wonder what our contingency is if we can’t sign Charlie Hughes. There are a few ball-playing, left-sided centre-halves in European leagues but we need to move fast as other clubs are signing them. Emirhan Topçu has just joined Beşiktaş today from Çaykur Rizespor after a very good season. There’s growing interest in Albian Hajdari from Italian clubs and he’s valued at around €6 million. Anselmo García MacNulty at PEC Zwolle is very highly-rated and an Ireland under-21 international. Played most of last season at left-back but is a centre-half by trade. Leeds are apparently interested in him. If we wanted to go down the Turkish route, there’s also Yasin Özcan at Kasımpaşa.
