    You know , i can understand needing to rest outfield players for a CC quarter final .

    But is it really necessary to rest our first choice goalkeeper.

    I mean , its not as if hes been running all over the pitch for that last six games and hes exhausted is it ?

    WE all know how hit and miss flappy can be .

    I accept that the goal was not his fault but , why even play him . ?

    Fair point - my comment is probably more reflective of his performances over the season rather than just tonights 7 or 8 mins, but he had the ball at his feet a few times and either lost it or ran it too far when in promising positions.
    I have always looked at him as a seasoned pro, a game changer, a match winner, but not any more....

    I agree. I think he's always been a bit lazy for us, a while ago his form meant he could get away with it. He'd be anonymous for 90 mins and then come up with one or two moments of brilliance that won us games. When that is missing, he looks like a very ordinary player.

    Very fair point.
    My guess is that the decision is two-fold, firstly I think he feels obliged to give squad players a game to ensure they're in some sort of nick if called upon in league games, and secondly my feeling is that he has a half excuse if we are beaten whereas there's a degree of embarrassment if we're beaten with a strong/first team out

    Its still annoys the hell out of me that Joel Campbell never got a work permit. We have young talent in defence and midfield but not upfront. He would have been that man tonight.

    What do you expect of Nasri ? he shafted us for the money - do you think we were going to give him a standing ovation ?

    Why has a gobshite Mouth Walian decided to post here.
    Your team's only chance of ever winning a trophy was ****ed up when you were barred from playing in the Welsh Cup <whistle>

    Amen to that MB.

    @SuperJackWilshere

    He didn't have a great game, fortunately he was surrounded by team mates that did.
