Congratulations to our troops, having to play another tough game after we played Manchester City at Anfield. Chelsea had one extra day of rest and they are also playing at home. Now counting the cost, one of our generals was wounded, we can only hope that the injury is not serious we hope he is going to be availabe for Fulham game on Moday. General Lucas we wish you a speedy recovery. Semi final draw tonight do we really care who we're going to meet, the following teams are through. 1.Liverpool 2.Manchester City 3 Cardiff City Manchester United is playing Crystal Palace tonight at Old Traford, and the winner is going to join in the semi final draw. The option is limited now, it is either will play Manchester City, Cardiff, Manchester United or Crystal Palace. Once again we salute our troops.
I think it's a cert that we will play city, probably best anyway as if we did get cardiff the ways things have been we would get beat.
I have feeling hat we will get Cardiff, just a feeling. The odds are for Utd getting them if they beat Palace.
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kd-on-craig-chelsea-and-seb Kenny Dalglish hailed the 'brilliant' performance of his Liverpool players after they booked their place in the last four of the Carling Cup with a 2-0 success at Chelsea. Goals from Maxi Rodriguez and Martin Kelly did the damage for the Reds after the Scot made seven changes to the team that drew 1-1 at home to Manchester City just 48 hours earlier. The boss admitted he was delighted with the efforts of the players who came into the line-up and felt they got their just rewards for their endeavours. Dalglish told his post-match press conference: "I don't know if we took them apart, but we were delighted with the way we played. We made changes and most of the lads who played have played in the earlier rounds of the cup, so for us it was right they played again. They were brilliant the way they went about their work. "Jose (Enrique) played 48 hours ago, Jordan (Henderson) played and Lucas played and the way they went about their job playing in their second game as quickly as they did was fantastic. "We've had a good day and I think we deserved to go through."
Lucas won't be playing that's for sure - his knee was at a funny angle at one point in that tackle. The least he has done is tweaked some ligaments, the worst could be a rupture and out for months. Good luck to him today at the scan - we will miss him whoever we draw in the semis for certain
Most likely we will get city but do have a little hunch we could get Cardiff as last few times we have been in the final we have played championship teams in the semi's if I remember rightly.
The way we're playing at the moment, it doesn't matter who we get. If we can just get more clinical in the finishing department, we need fear no-one. We've beaten Arsenal and Chelsea (twice) and should have beaten both the mancs and citeh. We just need to continue playing the high pressing game and all will be well.
