Surely at this point we'd be better off just cancelling his contract and paying him off slightly less than his full wages or something. In his 20 minute appearance I actually thought he looked alright but this has got to go down as one of our worst ever signings.
Definitely his 3rd year but for some reason i thought we'd given him a 4 year contract, hopefully its 3 with an option and we get rid at the end of the season.
Persil*, Ariel, Daz, all good laundry products. * Persil train tickets, great memories of awaydays. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I think we probably would do that if it was possible. But players' contracts are pretty watertight aren't they. I can hardly ever recall a player having their contract cancelled without their consent and without being paid off in full. Bullard was one example, and that was because he was stupid enough to give the club an excuse to do him for gross misconduct.
Cancelling a contract with a pay-off is exactly what most 'mutual consent' terminations normally are, we've already done it with Woods this season.
With consent from both parties yeah, which I'm sure we'd be delighted to do with Sinik. But if we're paying him way more than he'll get elsewhere then he's unlikely to take it you'd think. Which I imagine is why he's still here.
Yeah but we could say pay him 80% of his contract for the year then he’s free to get a new contract elsewhere, even if that’s 50% of what we’re paying him he’d still be better off.
Forgetting Sinik... thats one good thing that has so far (I know I'm tempting fate) that we have avoided this closes season and the last absolute last thing awe would need.. an injury..
It's a possibility and that's probably along the lines of what we agreed with Woods. But then I suppose it's whether we could do better by loaning him out. In that example someone paying 25% of his wages to loan him would be a better deal for us. In either case it probably depends on him getting fit first because whilst he's injured (assuming he really is) no one is going to be taking him.
