So was my dad, he always bores me with stories about it. It doesn't qualify for me, it's very obscure and most people these days wouldn't know what you're talking about if you cited it, it's a lame one to cling on to, so it doesn't count for me. It's not as obviously not a proper trophy as the Intertoto, we didn't even win a competition for that, we were just the last remaining team in a competition we still didn't get very far in.
We did have to qualify for the Intertoto though and like the Europa conference was a third tier competition. It was a qualifier for the uefa cup so not a friendly either really.
Fairs cup was second tier like the uefa cup/ Europa league. Intertoto was third tier like Europa conference but still a European trophy
Well, I'll take the lead on worthiness of the Fairs Cup from those who were there, like Trev. But I guess ultimately I never really think about it simply because it was so long ago. Intertoto I don't think about at all because it just seemed so meaningless.
Intertoto wasn’t even as prestigious as the Sela cup man (reigning undisputed, undefeated , heavyweight champions of the world)
I mean if your going to the lengths of adding colour to photoshop you’d at least crop your sisters church shoes out
