You know as well as I do that Longstaff needs replacing. If he wasn't from the area people would be giving him the treatment they gave Hendrick on here. Agree in part. With both players it isn't just whether they are any good it's also the negative representation of where the club is at and heading. Longstaff is a weak player in a good team but he's probably Premiership quality just bottom half. Hendricks was a weak player in a poor team and is Championship level at best. However Longstaff does reap the benefit of being let off for being local (though we aren't as patient with that at a fanbase as we should be imho) whereas Hendricks bore the brunt of a poor summer of transfers and a poster boy for the Ashley/Bruce era.
What's the point? Either it's OK to criticise players or it's not surely? Hendrick wasn't good enough either I'm not comparing the two, but one is playing every week. Longstaff is ****e mate and we've got Guimareas Tonali Joelinton Willock and Miley, so I'm really hoping we see him phased out.
Hopefully this Bunce guy and playing once a week will sort that injury issue out. If not let's call him Bunson.

There's still a month to go, but I've made my peace with the situation. If the club don't have much money and prices are so high that players like Anderson and Minteh cost 35 million then what can they do ?
