We need avoid giving McCarthy the ball if at all possible.

 

If we could start by actually signing a decent goalkeeper, that would be nice

Absolutely criminal we're going into a PL season with McCarthy as 1st choice, when we all knew that wasn't suitable and needed upgradrd 3/4 seasons ago.

 

So far only Alcaraz and SAA look like decent players.

 

He literally hates receiving the ball!

 

How hard is it to do a basic pass?

 

HT: Oxford 2-0 Saints

 

TBF not many of these players will be in the starting line up at Newcastle. Hopefully Martin now sees we need a keeper on loan.

 

I hope we never see:

McCarthy starting
That back line
Manning as DM
Sulemana starting
Mara as first choice striker

 

I'm guessing the Lazio game will be the first time we see what will likely be the team that starts at Newcastle.

 

Glad this is happening in a way. Shows the powers that be that Macca just isn't up to it.

Still insane that it was pretty much certain McCarthy was going to leave, then he had 4 good games and we gave him a new deal.

 

We looked woeful against a physical Oxford side there
