ROD your interpretations often leave a lot to be desired! I know for a fact [ not actually seen any financial evidence ] but certainly the hours worked and their fitting in with the ability to pursue their hobby with around a holiday period that over 12 month's is akin to 12 or more weeks.
My last 20 years of work was self employed and my holiday entitlement was what I wanted it to be .. at least 3 of the doctors had 3 - 5 visits to foreign lands for 2 weeks ish to a month..ish so that aint lies seen their reports and notations on what was achieved to boot ...
Guess you are just one of the crowd, holiday entitlement part of the job description .. I think in my last paid job it was about 28 days off... then when self employed it was about 40 days!

Starmer was apparently met with shouts of ‘how many more?’ when he laid a wreath in Southport
Why is it the majority of the British public know, and can see what’s happening to our country, and most of our politicians don’t, or won’t, admit it’s now a national emergency and has been for ages ?
Politicians who can see what’s happening, like Suella and Nigel Farage are condemned by some of the mainstream media as far right, and as bigots for telling the truth. The truth is being warped as is freedom of speech.
Ordinary people are sick of being lied to as to what group of people are behind the following atrocities
We’ve had Lee Rigby, Grooming gangs, the Merseyside maternity hospital bomb, Manchester arena bomb, Murder of the OAP in Hartlepool, the vile Acid attack in London on the woman and kids, Soldier attack last week and now the 3 little Girls stabbed to death in Southport
All atrocities carried out by foreigners on British soil against innocent people snd yet we still encourage more to happen in the future by having wide open borders.

How many more indeed ? <rose><rose> I really hope this is a turning point, but I don't think it will be,

The country is now at boiling point because we’re still not being listened to

I don’t condone what happened in Southport at all, but I can sort of understand it as people want justice to be served. but it’s going the right way to get a criminal record, if they haven’t already got one

    Is this true ?
An MP gets £3,400 heating allowance.

How do they sleep at night. ?

The pensioner may well be on benefits, in which case would still get her allowance.

If you read my previous comments I’ve already said they need to ensure pensioners that need the allowance get it. There are, however, lots that dont.

You cite the pensioner MAY get an allowance.
The one thing for CERTAIN is that Reeves is well known for claiming expenses as above.

    Ashton, it's indefensible.

What's the betting ol Flip Flop will overrule her in the Autumn budget.

If I pointed out Rishi made decisions and implemented policy’s that affected ordinary working people whilst being wealthier than the king I’d be accused of politics of envy.

Is it scandalous MP’s get the allowances they do, yes of course, is it relevant in the context of a decision a chancellor makes , no.

    It’s off the Interweb.
It may be true or not. IF true then it’s disgusting.

It does look like there is some truth in it:
    https://fullfact.org/online/MPs-no-upper-limit-heating-expenses/

However there was a load of bollocks circulating around that terrible child murder event in Southport that the perpetrator was an illegal off the small boats - it’s turns out he was born in Cardiff.

The Interweb is the electronic version of the ‘bloke in the pub’. Take everything you read with a pinch of salt and NEVER take up arms against someone based on what you’ve read on it.

I’ve already said unless they can ensure the ones that need it get it, they won’t have heard the last of it. I’m not trying to defend it, as I don’t agree with it.
My personal view is, whilst I understand the need to try to only pay it out to people that need it, in practice it won’t work and will have to be rescinded. If I was an MP I would vote against it.

I didn’t post my picture as a specific dig at you - or Labour. They ALL have their fingers in the pie and we all have to pay for the pie.

Now, we’re all too intelligent on this board NOT to be taken in by some random internet rumour spread by people with a racial axe to grind - aren’t we? Surely?

Did social media fan the flames of riot in Southport? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd1e8d7llg9o
